LOVE Britney, LOVE Broadway musicals. The plot sounds insanely cute and I bet the show will be extremely charming.

Cher always sings live in concert.
Definitely not in her latest tour. She may move her lips, but the backing track supplied 99.9% of what you heard in concert.
This sounds like it has real potential to be a SPECTACULAR flaming mess. Really looking forward to it!
It's cute, but I had to look at it for a bit to realize it's a woman
I really enjoy the artwork and knew it was a woman right away.
So far the only thing that I’m actually nervous about is this attracting some of the Mean Girls crowd - but, a necessary evil if it is to happen.

What does that mean?
So there's already talks of a movie..?

Crazy that any money Britney ends up making from this, she won't be able to spend it due to her conservatorship #freebritney
totes wearing a "#FreeBritney" sweatshirt to the premier, regardless of if she's out or not.
From what I can tell a workshop/lab is happening currently and the cast includes Laura Dreyfuss, Bonnie Milligan, Tess Soltau, Carolee Carmelo and Alex Finke. Anyone else have more insight on this?

I can get with it! Where did you find this from?
I follow Alex Finke on Instagram and she reposted a story from Bonnie and I just went through a rabbit hole going through her stories and people she tagged.... aha. Here are some Instagram posts

Didn’t see this noted anywhere but this pre-Broadway engagement was pushed back to April 2020.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing; or is it normal for things to be pushed back? I'm kinda looking forward to this, hearing about the rumored casting.
The Carolee Carmello led Hello, Dolly! tour doesn't finish until May 2020, so I'm wondering if she's still attached to this?
Was just thinking that Taylor Louderman leaving Mean Girls would like up nicely with rehearsals starting for this. Not so much now they’ve postponed.

Hmm, wonder if that’s from the recent workshop not going well. But I’d rather they take more time to make it right before presenting it at all and the move to April/May actually makes it easier for me to go see this in Chicago, although it seems pretty obvious this will end up on Broadway unless it’s a complete debacle.

I just read the elevator pitch for this from the article announcing the postponement, and this show sounds like a total dumpster fire. I've watched TYA shows with stronger plots.
Listen, I like Britney
But can we wait until she is in the twilight of her career for a musical based on her life? So weird.

It's not a bio musical, it's a musical using her music catalog.
There's a workshop happening later this month and they are apparently still aiming for Broadway next season, according to Justin Guarini who is playing Prince Charming.
"They created this beautiful story about female empowerment and breaking free from the chains of a lot of the things that women have to deal with and have had to deal with throughout time....It is just a funny, touching, awesome show."

I’m assuming this is from a workshop for the show. It seems Ellen Harvey has replaced Carolee.

In true tribute to Britney, everyone should be miming in this and dancing like they just can’t be bothered
