I actually did get through to enter! clicked the email immediately hoping that telecharge didn't crash like it did for Parade. Didn't get any loser/winner email yet though. I hope everybody who wants to enter can!
Is tomorrow night's show just...a show? I thought there would be special guests maybe? And a fancy gala thing afterwards, but maybe I misunderstood...the details about this event never really emerged.
There was some website somewhere that was advertising an event like that, but when you read through it, they were clearly just doing their own reception-type thing with fancy snacks and "stars from the past 35 years!", but no specific names. It included tickets and was somewhere in the 1200$ range.
...and now they're lotto-ing the tickets away. Hmmm.
You would think if they had a big name to appear at the event, they're use it to promote it and justify the higher ticket price...
Yes, tomorrow night is just a regular show, albeit one that was being done for charity, so all the proceeds are going to the four (?) named causes. The only thing special about it was the sky-high prices, which they tried to justify by saying almost all the tickets to the other shows were sold out, so it truly was a last chance. The market wouldn't bear those prices, hence all the leftover ones for the lottery.

Yes, that's the event I read about months ago. But still...why are they not saying who is confirmed to be there? Why would anybody pay extra for a few snacks and the chance of maybe seeing someone? There are hundreds of people who were involved in the show...
Thanks for clarifying about tomorrow night. Sorry to all those who lost the lottery. Wonder how they choose the winners? Do they look at who has a big social media presence or just pick names at random using an app or something?
Here's a question - will there be a special closing night Playbill?
I'm curious if with all the crazy shenanigans for the benefit performance prices if that means last week's Grosses will be the largest as opposed to this week...

Wouldn’t Sunday’s show impact this week’s grosses as well?

Actually Ted did Tuesday too! The schedule since Ben's absence has been--
4/3 - Ted Keegan (scheduled)
4/4-4/8 - Jeremy Stolle
4/11-4/12 Ted Keegan
4/13 - Jeremy Stolle
Logic dictates Ted gets the final 4 to make these numbers even.
Does anyone know when that Think of me trio was recorded? With all the talk about Ben as of late, it really was nice to hear how all three sounded incredible. Definitely made me sad that I missed this cast

I don't recall MC making a speech at any occasion following his departure, and as far as I can recall the only time he appeared on stage at an anniversary performance of Hal's production was at London's 30th.”
I apologize for my ignorance regarding Ms. Brightman at the London 20th, as I was not in attendance. However, I can say with certainty that Crawford appeared on stage (and even spoke briefly) at the Sunday evening performance at the Albert Hall for the London 25th. Just before personally introducing him, ALW mentioned that Crawford had “hot-footed it over from the London Palladium” after his performance as the Wizard in the ALW production of The Wizard of Oz. Crawford subsequently remained on stage with Brightman and the other luminaries until the festivities ended. If I recall correctly, all of this can be seen on the Albert Hall DVD.
