Hello! First time poster, longtime lurker. I ended up getting off the NYTW house waitlist for the Saturday evening performance of Merrily but will be flying back to LA before then. I'm selling both tickets at face value-- please message me if you're interested!

You might be on the wrong page; that happened to me yesterday too until I realized I was in the wrong place. You don't want to be on this ticket page, which shows an error: https://www.nytw.org/tickets/
You want to be on this one: https://www.nytw.org/show/merrily-we-roll-along/tickets/0/

Can anyone who’s actually attended the performance verify the run time listed on their web site? Due to some really tight travel connections, I’m trying to determine what time the 2:00 matinee puts me back in the street (knowing that traditionally, 2:00 performances don’t start until around 2:10). Thanks in advance for your help!

Let me echo the posters who have said to keep checking the NYTW website for ticket releases. Don’t give up. I was lucky enough to find a random seat today for a performance next week, just by checking at the right time. Fingers crossed for all who hope to see this production.

I believe it's 8 in the pit. And the running time is around 2:40.

I feel like I’m checking the date I need obsessively. Hopefully that obsessiveness pays off.

where are you seeing a seating chart? On the NYTW website, I just see SOLD OUT or "online booking closed" for all dates?

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Andrew Garfield, Brandon Flynn, Gary Janetti and Brad Goreski are at the Saturday evening performance on the anniversary of Sondheim’s death. Ana Gasteyer and Matt Lucas have seen it in recent days.

There's tons of inventory for the benefit performance. The caveat being that all tix are from 1500 to 2500.

Caught the show last night and LOVED it. I've seen the pro-shot of Friedman's 2013 production, so there weren't too many "surprises" in store, other than a brilliant cast all around. Groff is probably the best Frank I've ever seen-- in no small part due to the fact that he's so likable in real life that you can't help but care about Frank even when he's being an asshole in the show's first half. Lindsay Mendez is a fantastic Mary, her "Now You Know" was a definite highlight of the evening. I do think she's still fine-tuning her take on the drunken/cynical Mary that we see in "That Frank," but we're still very early into previews. Daniel has an incredibly convincing American accent (maybe more-so than the entirety of the 2013 London cast) and fits into the role like a glove. His vocals aren't always the strongest, but the acting in a Sondheim show is far more important to me, so I didn't mind very much if he was off-key or running out of breath towards the end of long phrases. His "Franklin Shepard Inc." was another stand out.
The rest of the cast is fantastic as well, and yet the classic Merrily book problems still exist. I've always found the character of Gussie to be rather one-sided, and although she's played incredibly well by Krystal Joy Brown, the way the book treats her as a caricature or a stand-in for un-tamed ambition, rather than a fully fledged person usually tends to rub me the wrong way. She often feels like she's the show's scapegoat for Franklin's own moral failings, and that softens the point of the show for me. She's just so conniving in every scene she's in and we very rarely get to glimpse any humanity.
But these are all somewhat minor quibbles. After all, I don't really subscribe to the notion that Merrily needs to be "fixed" anymore. Book issues aside, it's still miles ahead of hundreds of other shows that don't have the same stigma of being somehow "broken." I fully anticipate a Broadway transfer some time next year if the reviews are as good as I hope they might be.

does anyone know where the best seats are at NYTW? I have been trying to see pictures online but haven't found much. I have a ticket for the front row but am worried it's too close. My friend is going the same night as me with a seat a few rows back and offered me to switch. can someone who has been there give their opinion on the front row? Thanks!

Just got home from the 2PM show. The show is great and is in amazing shape. I don't think the book is as bad as some make it out to be and the music, staging, cast are all phenomenal. Special shout out to Jonathan Groff who is giving the best performance Ive seen him do. He may just finally win a Tony when this transfers. I am interested to see what broadway house they choose because I feel this worked very well in a intimate space. If you get the opportunity to see this show I HIGHLY recommend you do!
To the post above, I was in the front row and thought the view was great and not a problem! But maybe its just cause Harry Potter was right in front of me multiple times LOL

I loved the front row! It’s close when the ensemble comes out during interludes. Otherwise, the action mostly happens farther back on stage. You’ll see the actors facial expressions well and there’s lots of leg room.

I was in the front row tonight and I agree I loved it. You get some interaction too with the actors as they are right there. The number of small moments I caught in the front row were numerous. Only downside was you do have to turn your head to get the action but you miss nothing IMO

Do you think he will be nominated for the Tony if the musical tranfers next year? Or he isn't good enough to impress?

I think he definitely has a chance. It really depends who he’s up against and how good the overall reviews turn out to be. I thought he should have been nominated for How To Succeed, though. So you’re guess is as good as mine…

Also thought he should've snagged a nod before. I do agree it depends on the field for supporting but I could see it happening
