I heard a Micaela Diamond rumor a bit back before Christmas, no specific role...
Pinkleton did recently tag Diamond in one of his IG stories. There was no greater context, so who knows?
I do know of somebody who was cast in the ensemble and even they are, as of now, totally in the dark about the rest of the cast. They're also not a conventional theater performer- more of an queer scene & nightlife performer. Their casting bolstered my confidence the production, if that's the sort of performer they're rounding out the ensemble with. But we should be expecting a casting announcement in the next couple weeks.
Sam Pinkleton is also currently workshopping a revised Thoroughly Modern Millie starring Micaela Diamond. Perhaps that was the Micaela tag?

If true, THEY’VE ALREADY TAKEN MY MONEY BUT TAKE MORE OF MY MONEY.
Honestly, I could see Murray Hill as Dr. Scott (if they split cast it from Eddie). But between this and CATS, the downtown/underground talent coming to Broadway is absolutely incredible.
I will say that today’s SIX casting announcement has squashed my hope for Dylan Mulvaney as Janet
When I said the ensemble, I meant as a phantom and understudy. Murray Hill and Bridget Everett are both too big of names for that (though I would kill to see either of them in a production).
As far as I know, Micaela Diamond is involved in Pinkleton’s Thoroughly Modern Millie workshops (along with Alaska, Hannah Solow, and Anna Zavelson). But she would be great in Rocky as well.
From what I’ve heard, Diamond is not in this production.

Luke Evan’s giving a sneak peak!
the twitter also hints the full casting is coming shortly.

Don’t love the “I’ve seen” on that clip, but maybe it’ll get better with time. And I’d think the cast is coming soon. It’s already the end of January!
I think they were having an issue with casting one of the roles but everyone else has been set for a while. Guess they were waiting to fill that one before an announcement.
I don't care for the performance and the conversation happening between him and Sam is way too sincere for this show...
I'm feeling a production missing the mark incoming but hopefully I'm wrong!
Yeah he’s all wrong for this. Who’s the understudy ?
I agree, I hope the understudy is someone far more interesting. He's completely wrong and is an average singer at best.
Don’t like what I hear. Where’s the power, the heartbreak, the pathos in the song?
Hmmmm
In an interesting touch, further casting will be announced at midnight.
He's going to be great. This was a first meeting.
Evans, whose admired pulchritude suggests that he could've been a Rocky earlier in his career, is moving the show in a different direction. I, too, question his suitability. His comedy chops are mostly untested, and without a whiff of self-awareness, the show can be plodding. (If you've ever seen a lesser staging, you'll know what I mean.). The plot is so flatly ludicrous, that without genre send-up in the staging - baked into the production style - it can feel like a bad drive-in move rather than commentary on one. In a way, you can't mess with the elements so classically presented in the film: the show is that, exactly. I've seen two productions that veered into earnest goth-like horror, and the whole thing can feel bloated and less of a good time. And I hope they don't mess with the original arrangements. This is one piece that needs the vintage sound to sell its many pleasures.

They can't go anywhere but up so I'm looking forward to it!
I've had to suffer through a community theatre production and can definitely agree that if it's not done well, it's painful.
There isn't enough in that clip for me to have a strong opinion either way. It's devoid of any kind of theatrical context, with Evans in street clothes in a mostly empty studio. His vocals are adequate- but it's not like Tim Curry is beloved for his soaring vocals. And "I'm Going Home" is an odd song out of context; in the show, it is Frank's big melodramatic torch song and the context is what makes it absurd and camp. Out of context, though, the lyrics do play very earnest.
They better be giving us a darn sexy Rocky
There's not enough there in the video to make me think either way. Really it's. just a promo single to me, not indicative of how he'll perform with actual direction.
