I'm going to throw out a wildcard - The Ambassador? The death nail is bound to hit Chicago eventually

I’ve learned to never predict Chicago’s demise because it will constantly surprise. That it did $715K last week with nobody in the cast is admirable.

So it 100% isn't the Music Box. Got it!

Chicago will outlast the Weisslers!
Zedpi: I was at one of Shaina’s Joe’s Pub concerts earlier this year, and she said she is writing new songs to give more internality to some of the characters. I hope she has the will to cut songs too.
I am glad to hear this because it was way too heavy on the history and facts and I left needing more heart. I hope we see Grace McLean, Nicki M. James, Jenn Colella and Phillipa Soo reprise their roles. I could do with less of the Milholland ghost though. I hope Taub makes cuts but also adds some songs to help me root for more of the many characters. I look forward to seeing it again.

I'd bet money they'll keep Chicago open just so it ends up outlasting Phantom.
If not the music box then I’d predict the Shubert
I mean, it only needs to run for eight more years to outlast Phantom.
Regarding the Shubert, Some Like It Hot is only selling through January 14, so that could be their expected closing date. If they're planning to stay open, it would be about time to release a new block of tickets, although J. Harrison Ghee's leave could be a factor there.

Why would this qualify as a small musical? It has a cast of 20, an orchestra, and a gargantuan automated set.
Now predicting Schubert. Some Like It Hot just announced closing date of December 30th.

If it is indeed the Music Box though, I wonder why they aren't announcing yet if Purlie is a strictly limited run? The OP did say they are "waiting for the show currently in the theatre to post closing notice". If PV has an already scheduled closing date from the beginning then there is nothing to announce there, unless they extend.
Legend has it that every time someone predicts Chicago's demise, it adds another four years to its run.

I said early I’d guess the Shubert as it’s a very sought after theater. And I think it would suit this shows needs.

Is anything lined up for Circle in The Square? Is that a possibility for this show? I saw it and was thinking about the staging and I think it could potentially work

The rumor is Enemy of the People is going into Circle.

Another thread claims that Hell's Kitchen is going to the Shubert. However I am taking that with a major grain of salt considering that its Public Theatre run hasn't even started, so it seems too soon to say if it would even transfer.
