It's kind of all over the place. Sometimes tickets will show up on the Public website and not elsewhere, but I've also seen tickets show up on Todaytix, but not on the Public site. I just checked periodically (obsessively) throughout the day.

Anyone whose seen the show: Who gives a real stand-out performance?

I saw it during our trip last week and loved it. Of the shows that we saw, that was the one I couldn’t stop thinking about. For me, Shaina Taub, Nikki M. James, Hannah Cruz, Tsila Brooks, Grace McLean, and Phillipa Soo were standouts - but the entire cast is wonderful. I am so happy that Grace McLean has continued to do theater. I I still have so many of the songs going through my head.

Also saw it! Nikki M. James, Grace McLean, Nadia Dandashi, Aisha de Haas, and Shaina Taub are brilliant!

I saw it on Sat and the entire cast is spectacular but the standouts are Taub, Phillipa Soo, Jenn Colella, Nikki M James, Hannah Cruz, and ESPECIALLY Grace McLean. It’s just an embarrassment of riches. I do hope they get a better set on Broadway and that Pippa gets to ride a moving horse! I haven’t been so eager for a cast recording since I saw Evan Hansen at Second Stage.
What problems did you have with the set?

I quite enjoyed the set and the use of the space myself.

Has anyone tried the standby line? I've been keeping an eye out for tix to be released online but no luck so far. If anyone has tried it, how early did you get to the theater to stand in line? (I know there's a way to text to put your name on the list as well but it sounds like people at the theater at 5pm would get priority over texters.)

Yeah, I thought the set was beautiful, impressive, and very functional. I could see its functionality/transitions being improved even more for Broadway, even if the design itself looks very similar.
Some of it's the nature of The Newman, but walking into the theatre was quite striking to see those stairs onstage. Almost ominous. The scenic equivalent of the reveal of the 20-piece orchestra for SOFT POWER –– it just packs more of a punch in a 500 seat house than in an 1100 seat house.

Makes me think of the beauty of "the reveal" in Fun Home.
Any fun merch, guys?

The Public rarely has merch for any show not in the park. Maybe a poster like they did for Hamilton? But nothing yet.
Thank you!

I saw this and Funny Girl over the weekend. I was so excited to be back in NY! But, I must admit both shows disappointed me. Perhaps Suffs will grow and get better. It took me a few days to understand what I didn't like. And let me start by saying the show is long. And it feels like a history lesson. And I just wish the director would feel more inspiration and put it on stage, because it's just not there right now. Like all the ingredients are there for a great evening, but it just felt to me like a bit of a mess. Please, keep working because this show has so much potential ! I hope it gets there :)
Posting here in addition to the Buy / Sell board hoping for traction...
I have a ticket to SUFFS on Sunday April 3rd at 7:30pm ET Row D Seat 5 that I can no longer use because COVID is the worst.
I am hoping to TRADE with someone for a later date - practically any other date (not 4/14 - 16). My ticket was $108 but I'm willing to pay the difference if yours was more. I'm just devastated that I may miss this show.
Please DM if interested!
Also when I called the box office to exchange (they couldn't because there are no tickets to exchange them for) he said that they will very likely extend again!
What’s the buzz on a potential move to Broadway?

I think we’ll have a better idea post-opening after we see reviews. But it sure seems buzzy.
Speaking of… when does this open? I couldn’t find this info on the Public’s site.

Six or seven seats in the back just became available for 7:30 p.m. on 4/3/
Just a reminder that Shaina Taub's standby performs this Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m., and, after that, all Sunday matinees.
Do the stairs move or do anything? Just curious to know more about the design. (Love that stuff)

Yes, they transform into various things and some of the steps push backwards or forwards (I can't describe it well). They are not stationary stairs and are an effective design piece. More interesting than platforms or scaffolding.

Overall I liked the show, but man there was SUCH a disparity between the acts for me. Act 1 I thought felt plodding and mediocre, and if it had continued through the rest of the show I would've written this off as completely overhyped. Talking to my friend at intermission, we were saying how it really felt like they wanted to get through a lot of history, but that part of history wasn't really them doing much besides the same thing over and over (raising money, speaking at rallies, etc), which wasn't very interesting to watch, and we wanted some more character work. I also thought the songs were a lot better when they only had one character singing or didn't try to move the plot too much (though I wasn't a huge fan of Alice Paul's first song), and it felt like this show didn't really need to be sung through.
Act 2 started off well and I don't necessarily know what it was but everything just clicked for me. The story seemed more interesting at this point, the songs seemed more diverse and distinctive, and the characters seemed more vibrant. I think it was also just a more interesting part of the suffrage movement, as anticipation for the 19th amendment grew, though I'll admit I was expecting to see more of Ida B. Wells in the second act than what we got. The ending was quite lovely as well and I liked the message that we were left with.
Phillipa Soo was absolutely magnetic in every scene she was in and I was always looking forward to another appearance by Grace McLean, so those were probably the two standouts for me, though I agree that the rest of the cast does quite well in their roles too. I thought the set was surprisingly clever in how it was used in different scenes, but the overall lighting of the show felt a bit dark and monochrome.
