Despite some of the writing, this song really is pretty good. It's a shame the rest of the show isn't this good.
"[Gore] was widely perceived as arrogant. If you know something, you're not smart. You're a smarty-pants. It's annoying. People get annoyed with your knowledge. It goes back to high school, to not doing your homework ... 'There's something I should know, I don't know why I should know it but someone knows it and I don't. So I'm going to have to make fun of him now.'"

Even if it was that bad...the audience is on such a "LB HIGH" they didn't notice and she covered it up well. And people that never go to theatre but will to see this dont know the difference.
Is that the best they could get out of three tapings? That note was still flat .. but at least they didn't use the one from the audience taping .. that one was even more flat.
So what if it is off. It's a live performance that was recorded. Part of the magic of live theatre is that mistakes happen. If you spend all your time going to shows expecting them to be perfect then what is the point. It sucks that people who care about the arts are the ones that seem to rip it apart and make people turn their backs on it.

This isn't art. This is just mass market entertainment to cash in on the teen girl culture of today.

"and one of them called a cast album a soundtrack."
That's on the writers, not the hosts. She's just reading what was in the script.
"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "

Orfeh is exquisite and thankfully knows the difference between stage and film acting. I don't care how strange Ireland is, at least she's singing at performing the heck out of it. Bundy on the other hand seems clueless and making such broad expressions isn't helping her features one bit.
As far as Bundy's singing goes, as anyone else who was at the taping will attest to, it's been seriously fine tuned. As pitchy as she sounds here on tv, it was 100 times worse at the Palace that night. I know some of you enjoy him but Borle is more completely forgettable on screen than he is on stage. There's nothing warm or charming about him, just my opinion. I enjoyed Michael Rupert despite Blood In The Water and thought Annaleigh Ashford was one of the only cast members not constantly in the dark.
songanddanceman2 is angry because he's been saying that this show is good if you just watched it. Well, we are and some of us are just not that easily impressed.

I think that "Whipped Into Shape" translated AMAZINGLY to television.
I am disappointed in "The Hills" girls. I adore them , but they have zero personality and it's obvious they are reading off cue cards. Whitney is at least trying a little, but they were still the wrong pick for this.

I don't see why it's "bitchy" to give an honest reaction. If you like it, fine, but you should be secure enough to not throw a tantrum over someone having an opposing opinion.
