My Dolly evening ticket on 2/21 was Orchestra, middle of house right. Other than the tall-ish man in my line of sight two rows ahead, was a great seat, especially for the price.

TDF sends the box office an alphabetical list, and the box office then assigns specific tickets to each patron.

I don't know if that's exactly how it works, and I haven't been able to quite figure it out. If it was alphabetical, when I've added additional tickets to my order, they would've been next to each other, but they weren't. It all seems random.

There are lots of factors -- including size of party and number of available tickets vs number of reservations -- that go into assigning TDF tickets.

So glad I saw this! I've been dying to get back to this show since seeing it last year.

Interesting. When I've added additional tickets to my order, they've always been together.

I didn’t think you could add tickets to an order? I thought that once you bought the tickets that was it, you couldn’t buy more tickets for that particular performance.

I've done it more than once. Maybe that's true for certain shows? I'm not sure, but I've definitely bought extra tickets for the same performance before.

According to the TDF FAQ, you can buy up to nine tickets per performance.

I guess I got really lucky. My tickets for Sunday 2/25 and 3/4 performance of Angels in America were Center Orchestra, row J. Pretty much the best seats I've ever gotten on TDF.
My seats for Once on this Island for a Sunday show was B404. There are no bad seats in the Circle in the Square, but for this show, the 400's isn't prime.

I understood that you could buy a number of tickets for a performance, however, I didn't think that once you purchased, say two tickets at 9am, that you could go back later (provided that the show was still offered) and get 2 more tickets to the same performance at noon for example.

As long as they're still are available tickets to purchase for a particular performance you could buy any combination of tickets up to 9. In some cases it is advantageous if let's say you have 7 people going that you make a separate purchase of three along with a separate purchase at 4 so that you get better seats instead of the box office trying to put 7 people together.

Bummed that I missed this. Hope it shows up again!

^^^ That is correct. I have purchased additional tickets from time to time. You will get a warning screen, but all it says is, You already have tickets for this performance. Are you sure you want to buy more? So just click past that.

How often would you say Come From Away appears on the board a week? This week I saw it was on for Tuesday and Wednesday. Is it common for those day or is it really unpredictable?

Almost never. This week was the first time it appeared since the first few weeks of previews.
