She's too good of a woman to have this happen to her.
I love you, Bernadette!
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
To Kill A Mockingbird
I am completely in shock and saddened beyond belief. All my thoughts and prayers to Bernadette and Michael's family during this unimaginably difficult time.
"Let's admit one thing right upfront: With the possible exception of Bernadette Peters, not everyone stays young and cute forever." (NYPost 2/2/05)
Adding my condolences. A sudden and accidental death is especially inconsolable. There is no extended sickness during which to prepare for mourning. One day everything is fine, the next day nothing will ever be fine again. There is nothing anyone can say, nothing anyone can do. Our hearts go out to Bernadette and to Michael's family.
All the rest of us can do is love each other a little more, hold each other a little more, treasure each other a little more and think of how Bernadette has always made us glow, and how that glow will always surround her Michael.
Well to me that makes him a lucky guy. Seems like he didn't suffer. This is just so sad. I'm still in shock. I can't imagine what she is going through right now.
When you saw them out in public they always seemed so in love and completed committed to one another.
When I read the headline, in the publsihed article, my heart dropped. My thoughts and prayers and heart goes out to Bernadette and to her husband Michael , who's in heaven (my beliefs). Updated On: 9/27/05 at 10:41 PM
Definitley my thoughts and prayers are with Bernadette. I never met her but she has inspired me soo much and she is an icon and more than that it seems a great person and a loving wife. My heart goes out for her. I sit here crying as i listen to her sing "No one is Alone" from her Carnagie Hall Concert. Heartbreaking. We love you Bernadette!!
RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~
How terrible for something so random and tragic to happen to anyone. I feel so sad for Bernadette, and can't imagine the grief. I hope she can get through this tragedy.
I hate when tragic things like this happen to wonderful people. I can't even imagine what she and everyone close to him must be feeling right now. My thoughts and prayers are with her and everyone close to Michael.
"Fidelity is more than mere display, it's what a man expects from life. Fidelity, like mine to Desiree and Charlotte my devoted wife..."
Such depressing news on one of the nicest people in the broadway community and animal rights protection. Its really upsetting that this is happening to that classy, wonderful performer whom you never heard a negative story about ever. Its just so tragic
I send all of my love and support to Bernadette and her family.
No one is alone...
The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another... and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world.

Truly terrible news. My thoughts are with Bernadette and her friends and family. She's one of the classiest women out there and it's such a shame that this awful thing had to happen to her.
All the love and compassion contained in this thread could heal the world.
We may not always get along, but here we are, united in sadness, offering love and support to a performer many of us know but few have ever met in person.
HUG to all!
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks." Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
How awful....I just saw her perform this past sunday at the Gershiwn benefit.
I know I'm repeating what many ofthers have said but aside from being an amazing performer, she is one of the nicest people I've been lucky enough to meet.
My thoughts are definitely with Ms. Peters and her family
