I am a die-hard celine fan and I still loved the show! While they certainly do lampoon some of her “tics” and mannerisms I felt the show has a real respect for her as a singer. I certainly enjoyed hearing the celine songs performed by this cast. I believe the creators of the show have even said they love celine.
I agree! You can tell that the creators and cast have serious respect for Celine. Even though Marla and Courtney play her pretty goofily, even this over-the-top Celine is still a kind, lovable character. They throw in the kind of stuff ONLY Celine super fans would get/laugh at. I had to YouTube pretty deep to find what they based certain jokes from!

It's a pretty loving portrait of Celine. That said I don't know how eager I'd be to see it without Mindelle and the others."
I saw it with Courtney Bassett and wished she would replaced Mindelle. I felt she was a better singer and was wonderful in the improv scene which is a must.
I probably won't ever get to see this in NY because I'm usually trying to see bigger shows. On their 2 show days a 5pm show doesn't work well if you want to see something in the evening, but probably works for people going for dinner afterwards.
If they opened a second production in Las Vegas it might do good. There haven't been any new, good, little shows like this there in a while. Six wrapped up.its run earlier this month at the Venetian. This could work there.
Nicole Parker was born to play this role. She is 100% perfect for this.
To answer the last reply: This theater is tiny, so there are no bad seats, but then again I paid at the box office, didn't win any lottery unfortunately.

I got the rush a week and a half ago for a Sunday night performance. My seat was the second to last row of the theatre, dead center. As mentioned, it's a small theatre and I thought the view was great!

I saw SOME LIKE IT HOT at 2 pm, TITANIQUE at 5 pm, and NYNY at 8 pm all on one Saturday. It was a bit of a rush to get to TITANIQUE from Times Square but making it to NYNY was a breeze. I even had enough time to stop for drinks at Sardi's before the show.
I love the 5 pm showtime; I'm planning to see TITANIQUE again on my next trip in a few weeks at this same time on a Saturday. But I am going to GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR at 2 pm this time so I don't have to rush to make the 5 pm show.
Hope Nicole Parker has more plans to return to the stage!

Curious how the new (current) cast members are in each of their roles? Only ever saw it in March with what I think was the original cast. May end up going again tonight with a friend who got Rush tickets
I saw it with Nicole about a month ago and she got the least amount of applause and laughs. She just didn't quite nail Celine and it was pretty awkward at times. I just saw it with Jackie last week and her Celine is much better and the audience loved her. This show is such a joy and everyone is fantastic, imo.
