cause they have showed SO MUCH of Defying Gravity visually now.
Would they give so much of the finale away in a trailer?"
I’m not sure if you’ve seen a trailer for any movie recently, but it’s very trendy to include scenes that occur in the last moments of the film. Very frustrating. That’s why I try not to watch trailers of films that look interesting past, like, 30 seconds.
Another TV spot has been released.
All the comments are saying the Elphaba doll sounds like Kurt from Glee, and now I can't unhear it.

The ending of DG doesn’t have the same run in that one. Interesting.
They recorded many differnt takes for the end of DG.
I imagine they'll use one that hasn't been heard in the trailers, so people will still be surprised by the ending.

Full credit for this thought goes to the Sentimental Men podcast (highly recommend) but they suggest that the finale of DG is expanded so there is a version of the war cry when she rises (after “It’s me”) in addition to the true end of the song. I could see this happening during the breaking thru the window moment we’ve seen potentially.

In my thirty's I saw Phantom and Rent, but it wasn't until I saw this show in a touring company that I became a hopeless fan. Thanks to Stephen Schwartz, and thanks to SJB, I have seen the very best of Broadway ever since."
This is a wonderful story. I am so glad Wicked made you love musicals ever since! Kind of a surprise it took that show to do it for you, but since Wicked is my favorite show, it makes sense to me! Thanks for sharing.
Why are the Lego sets they released for the film so bad? Do they not know who the audience is for this film and related merch?

What's wrong with them? They look fine...

They just look so… bad. Pollypocket, preschool style. Not using mini figs. Not detailed or complicated seeming.
I really thought they’d give us something nice for the adult fans who grew up with Wicked.
Disney releases incredible sets that are challenging, big, and highly detailed.
Ugh.
They could of done the Emerald City better (which I will get) but the other ones look horrid. Is Nessa wearing jeans ?

What exactly is wrong with them? And she's wearing shoes...

I agree that this has more of a Polly Pocket feel to it than Lego, but I do love that they used an image of a boy playing with the Emerald City lego set.
I'm a LEGO kid; I have been since the 80s, and I still do them today.
These sets are incredibly disappointing; they're designed for children, as evidenced by being for ages 7+.
I'm happy they exist, but I wish they'd have done an 18+ set as an elaborate Emerald City as they did for Harry Potter's Hogwarts Castle.

The different Defying Gravity endings are due to the song being extended. It has multiple spots where the ending riff is sung.

I very never listened to that podcast, so why would they get credit? I know this because I worked on the film. Elphaba is long gone from the tower before she gets to those last few notes. She's not singing as she breaks through the glass either. That's all dramatic editing for the trailer.

Why are you so bothered
Because he had to get in that he worked on the movie which is like... really annoying and self important, like nobody cares bro. Lol.

Sad you choose to read into their posts this way as they never at any time boasted nor gave off a self-important tone. They simply provided facts of what they saw on location and nothing more. Their postings were/are not only informative but the closest to confirming details, like how the large train is actually just a shell and isn't detailed inside and that the yellow bricks were disappointingly just painted styrofoam. Stupid little basic details but genuine "insider" info.
I fail to see why the YBR being made of styrofoam is disappointing. The original 1939 film used Masonite.
Either way, they could have just digitally altered the floor, so what exactly is disappointing?

The fact that you are dissecting a toss away statement and asking it to be elaborated on further.

Gurl, I don't know if you are aware of this... but that's what film making is. You mean to tell me the inside of the train isn't where they filmed the interiors? Blowing my mind. His posts are very... obvious trivia. I don't begrudge him for his facts, I got annoyed by him snapping at another poster for making a separate thought that wasn't even related to any information he provided.
"Well I worked on the film!"
Like damn girl, settle down.

This is exciting. Hopefully we will get similar teasers for each of the main characters.
