I got Mimi because her character speaks to me the most out of all of the characters. I called all over town to find a store with the cds. Barnes was the only one with them. The guy on the phone was a fan of RENT too so he helped me find the cover I wanted and held it back for me. He and I had a good 10 minute coversation about RENT when I got there. My husband about flipped when he saw that I had paid $27 on "a cd that you already own". He got over it though...

maureen... my original favorite when i first heard the CR was take me or leave me, and its stuck with me ever since.

it took SIX stores to find it, and i never even saw my second and third choices.

I got mine for 23.99 at Borders.

Also, I think it is appropriate to have the Benny character have his own cover. I think he is a part of the group. I always felt even though they were at conflict with Benny, they were still friends. Maybe not as good as friends as they use to, but never the less still friends. He celebrated with them at the New Years party (he entered Mark and Roger's lot) and paid his respects to Angel at the funeral and even flipped the bill. Afterwards he and Collins went out drinking together. Anyways, I do believe he is part of the "group" and deserves his own cover on the CD.

i went to borders also. sam goody held an angel one for me, target and walmart didn't have ANY, best buy had collins and joanne, FYE had mimi, angel, collins, and joanne, and borders had the one maureen one that i grabbed and one mark. luckily all the stores were right near each other, it took about an hour to track down the one i wanted.

Are there pics of the covers online anywhere? I can choose whichever one I want from Dress Circle (London theatre shop) so I would like to know which one I want. I told the guy I ordered from to surprise me from Idina, Anthony or Roasrio but now I'm getting antsy.

Roger!! My friend got out of her seminar early and picked it up. She works at Borders part-time, so we also got her employee discount. She got Benny and bought Maureen for her nephew. Borders in East Brunswick had all the covers yesterday.

I went to Best Buy on Sunday and asked this guy if he could hold a copy for me since I wouldn't be able to get there until after work. I got there yesterday and said there should be a copy being held for me, and the girl at the counter pulled out a box--turns out the guy had held one of all the covers they had for me because he didn't know which one I wanted. They had Benny, Angel, and Mimi.

I'm not a Wilson fan *ducks from flying objects* and Rosario is just so damn hot... so I got Mimi

I picked up mine at Barnes & Noble and they had all 8 covers at various points in the store. Out of curiosity I went to the Best Buy next door and they had none! Only one copy of the OBC recording!

Yipes...I haven't gotten mine yet (I know, I know...) but plan to go after work today.

Depending on what they have, I may go for a Collins or a Mark (my two favorite characters). But hey, I like all the characters, so whatever's in stock, I go for. Though the rule I made for myself is that "Peach only gets ONE"(could be difficult)!

I had to choose from Adam, Taye, Anthony,or Rosario. Sadly, I was looking for Idina and they didn't have her!! Therefore I was forced to settle for Adam. If anyone wants to trade with me please give me a PM.

After calling Best Buy and telling me they had them in stock...I got there after work like 4 hrs after I called and they still werent out on the shelf. I found a girl who said she saw them in the back and would bring them out for me. I informed her about the covers and could she please bring out at least one of each of the ones they got in. She ended up bringing out all the ones they got in...a whopping 10.
They had 1 Mark, 1 Mimi, 1 Joanne...and the rest were Bennys. No Roger, No Collins, No Angel, No Maureen.

I got Mark....I had pretty much decided that's who I wanted going in if i had a choice....
