It's very much in the same bubbly, high energy musical comedy vein as THE PRODUCERS, SPAMALOT, and DROWSY.
Except better. I've been saying it for months and I'll say it again: this is the Best Musical front runner, bar none.

Regarding discounts, they were running a special via Facebook last week for $35 rear Mezzanine tickets through April 21. There were quite a few seats left, particularly the further out you went. Thankfully I bought mine yesterday for the 17th. Not sure it would have been so easy if I had waited until the word of mouth had spread a little. Sounds like this is a real gem.
I adored DROWSY more than I can say, so these pre-previews-reviews are exciting.

The curtain is nice and all but that really sells it. I'm trying not to get too hyped but it's admirable how much thought they seem to have put into everything.

Posted: 3/22/15 at 9:04pm^ Especially considering that scraped an out of town tryout and brought it in rather abruptly (I know it was a few months, but in Broadway time, that's abrupt). Can't believe I have to wait until SEPTEMBER to try and see this! By that time it will probably be impossible to get a ticket.

I don't understand. All shows are original in some respect. But, Kinky Boots and Gentleman's Guide are based on movies. Neither is an "original" story.
