What channel is Gray Gardens on, anyone? I don't see it on my tv schedule
If I may ask, How do you know that Beyonce was redubbed?

"If I may ask, How do you know that Beyonce was redubbed?"
He/she doesn't know that. It's called making sh!t up.
What is dangling off of Beyonce's ears? Snowshoes? Tennis rackets? Athletic cups? Beyonce did nicely, she actually managed to sing a song without getting all "Beyonce" over it. But seriously? We all know her father contracted that entry out of the floor.
The Streisand tribute was surprisingly wonderful.
Was I the only one that thought Barbra didn't look thrilled until the end. It looked like she was giving Idina the stink eye.
Oh, and I loved Idina's tounge hanging out on the last note. Thank God her mike covered it.
Damn...Miss Bettye Lavette can sing. She stole the show.
If anyone should have been re-dubbed it was Idina...ouch!
"Does Twyla Tharp know how to smile? Jeez."
I know!!!!
Also, does the honeree have to be living? Have Bob Fosse or Alan Menken been honored?

Alan Mencken is not dead.
Howard Ashman is dead... and does not deserve a Kennedy Center honor for the lyrics to Little Shop, Little Mermaid and BATB.
Idina was boring. No emotion to the song. She reached peak from the very beginning and had nowhere to go. And she looked like she was about to eat the mike. And I know this sounds really hateful on my part... but that white trash music salute to George Jones ( was that his name? ) made me doze for a little bit. And that Twyla Tharp did not look like she wanted to be there.
Oh and Beyonce was NOT redubbed. All the songs as with most shows that are not live but recorded live get remixed for your at home listening pleasure. That was her. She was NOT dubbed.
I would've preferred Stephanie over Idina
fflagg, what a bitter, angry, resentful, and hateful post!
beyonce knowles has proven herself a formidable talent.
her performance was not re-dubbed, over dubbed or any other kind of dubbed.
you haters just REFUSE to acknowledge the woman has talent.
and just who is this collective 'we' you speak of that will not be listening to beyonce in 20 years?
please, do not speak for other people.
know one has even mentioned whether or not she will have as big as a career as streisand or has said she's better than streisand.
i'm sure beyonce was HONORED, as well she should have been to have been chosen to sing for one of the most gifted vocalists of our time and she did an exemplary job with the song she chose to sing.
seems to me your grasping at straws because in all honesty their was nothing wrong with miss knowles' performance.
Finally saw those earrings-too bad that's all I could look at while she was singing. Her voice sounded lovely, though.
Beyonce has already been in the music industry for 11 years. And she already has 7 Grammy awards (for her solo work). Fflag makes it sound like she's a new artist. She's not. She has staying power.

Beyonce was redubbed.
Britney Spears also has a Grammy. Enough said.
Remember Alanis Morrisette winning all those Grammys about 10 years ago? Where is her career now?
I have heard from people who worked on the show that Beyonce redid her vocals for the televised broadcast. Did the aired telecast include an entire new vocal or perhaps revised bits and pieces? who knows?
And to the 12 year olds who take potshots at me, I am older, wiser, and with more insurance than you. I also have a life.
Happy New Year.
"Beyonce was redubbed."
Prove it, or shut the fcuk up.
Link?

Yes, by eons.
Mr. Midwest, I had the same thought. I was not impressed by Ms. Menzel at all.

I LOVED Kristin Chenoweth's tribute to Julie Andrews when she was inducted:

The Streisand in the ALLERGIST's wife is a damned good idea -- is that cooking, or just creative posting? The play does fall apart in the last 15 minutes, but until then, it's hysterical -- could be a damned funny movie, and she's clearly born to play it.And Goldie? Perfect. Now, I cannot stop thinking about that.
I thought Streisand looked subdued and just needed color -- why the overly pale face? Bring back the eye make-up -- it would work, and no, she wouldn't look like a drag.
oh, so it's an "age thing" that explains a lot.
Yes fflagg is a dried up whiner.
Here is her PM to me:
