That opening will be remembered for...wait, it won't.

Couldn’t understand more than half of what she was saying. I also can’t stand the strange voice she does every time she presents. I hope they find a new host for next year.

That was quite possibly the worst Tony opening that I can remember…

That was probably the worst opening number for the Tonys that I can ever remember. DeBose needs to stop hosting at this point.

Her delivery is grating. Time for a new host next year.

It just wasn’t catchy at all. The opening numbers I remember (early 2010s) were all very catchy.

Truly bad opening song. And her “heartfelt” delivery of the opening monologue is so false. I don’t ever understand her hype, and how she won an Oscar is completely beyond me.

The opening number is giving if "Hell's Kitchen" and "The Great Gatsby" had a child, but that child was Cabaret.. Not a fan.

She hasn't really done anything since WSS. Certainly nothing that has made headlines.

Leslie has become such a pompous douchebag since Hamilton, and I am very pleased that he lost.

I had heard a couple weeks ago that Hell’s Kitchen was performing less with Jay-Z’s cameo. It would seem that plan has changed. Not for nothing would be awkward if they lost Best Musical and then immediately performed.
This performance isn’t landing quite as well as I had thought it would…very clunky medley.

I’m so happy they’ve continued showing performance clips for the nominees!
