I would love to hear Carly sing 'Take That Look off Your Face' also. That or "Tire Tracks and Broken Hearts" from WDTW.
Everyone wants david C. to do something from JCS because we all know he can pull it off well but I want to hear him sing something different. Not really sure what but different. As for the rest its up in the air...Jason, Syesha and Brooke know pretty much what they can and cannot sing so they will do fine. I guess the only one that I don't care about is David A., he puts me to sleep every single week.
ALW said that Brook was his favorite girl according to what they did in rehearsals. Not necessarily the whole competetion.

"I love Andrew Lloyd Webbers' music -- the SWEENEY TODD movie was awesome!" - David Archuleta
Oh dear, did he actually say that? Now I find him more annoying than I did to begin with; I seriously can not stand that kid!

At this stage of the game, they would be foolish to not sing the 6 most popular ALW songs of all time, and forget all the obscure stuff.
This is the time to get votes...not experiment!
The kids are gonna vote for "Music of the Night"...not anything from "Whistle Down the Wind"!
YIKES!

THIS IS STRANGE NEWS....
IDOL WILL BE BROADCAST FROM THE "PHANTOM" STAGE IN VEGAS, and...ALW will SING???
Or maybe I'm the last to know?!?!?!
--------------------------
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - "American Idol" contestants will face a new challenge Tuesday night, when they meet up with Broadway composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. He will not only mentor the six remaining singers, but they will all perform a selection of his songs from the set of "Phantom the Las Vegas Spectacular" at the Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas.
The six remaining Idol contestants will perform Webber's songs on Tuesday night and then Webber will sing with them on Wednesday night's elimination show."

Most aren't aware that ALW, Patti LuPone and Linda Balgord are the only 3 (three) people who can sing the SUNSET BLVD. score in the original keys.
Michael Crawford actually based his singing style for the Phantom on ALW's interpretation of the songs.

Posted: 4/22/08 at 6:30pmWell, this at least makes gives me greater hope that we'll be getting rid of Castro.

Posted: 4/22/08 at 6:59pmUggh is Jason really singing 'Memory'? How horrible. As if he already doesn't look androgynous as it is, now this definately makes me question him. I just have to say Brooke needs to leave, if her 'You Must Love Me' was anything like her 'Hero', she definately needs the boot!!!

Posted: 4/22/08 at 8:12pmAwww, I love Syesha even more now. I'd definitely be okay with her being on Broadway someday. Not the song I would have chosen for her, but she did a good job with it and showed a lot of personality.

Posted: 4/22/08 at 8:16pmThat's the first time I've ever liked her. Maybe it's because this was the first time she showed some genuine personality. She was great tonight.

Posted: 4/22/08 at 8:16pmYou know, I liked her back when they selected her for the Top 24. Then I didn't like her cause she started to suck. But that was very good, and I like her again... :)

UGH...my idiot roommate made this dumb@ss comment while Syesha was singing...after they were saying this would be one of the most challenging weeks:
"Half of the people on American Idol should just be on Broadway anyway..."
UGH. The way she said it sounded like she thought they weren't good enough singers so they should be "demoted" to Broadway.
And NO DO NOT DO "MEMORY" JASON!
