As far as I know, Steve Carrell has never performed and I'd love to see him. And I know he's young so of course he hasn't, but Timothee Chalamet would be a treat to see in any drama.

Huh? Chalamet is too young to have been on Broadway? He’s 24 not 8. Lucas Hedges is 23 and in THE WAVERLY GALLERY right now. Heck, Matthew Broderick was in his teens when he was in countless Broadway plays. <<edited by BWW staff>>

Tim-o-tay was also off-broadway a few years ago in a play, Prodigal Son at MTC.
Allegedly, Steve Carell has no interest in performing on Broadway. Of course, other people have said that and then persuasive producers or great roles have coaxed them to the stage.
I'd love to see three of today's Oscar nominees onstage: Christian Bale (who got his start in theatre in the UK), Melissa McCarthy, and Richard E. Grant.
Woah relax people. Timothee hasn't had a major film career for too long, yes he was in films before he broke out in Call Me By Your Name but he was likely not a major consideration for Broadway. I'm aware of his age and that there's literally a baby currently on Broadway as well in The Ferryman. I wasn't aware he was off Broadway as well
Also, while there are plenty of exceptions, generally very few actors in their early 20s have been on Broadway, especially if you don't count child actors (which Chalamet was not, to my knowledge). It may have been wrong to say "of course" he hasn't, but it's not that much of a stretch.
Sandra Bullock Leo Dicaprio Timothee Chalamet Cher ( I know she was back decades ago) Jennifer Aniston John Travolta Ryan Reynolds Brenton Theaites Oprah
I would love to see Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as stunt casts in a Tangled musical. They are at the age range where they can pull off those characters still. And yes I know Zachary has been on Broadway.
Others I would like to see: Emily Blunt in a Mary Poppins revival but I would really settle for anything Dan Stevens as Henry Higgins Nadia Bjorlin from Days Of Our Lives Kristen Bell as an Anna stunt cast Amy Adams Patrick Dempsey Emma Watson
Benedict Cumberbatch is overdue. He's done a lot of work on the London stage, but never in New York, to my knowledge. Same goes for Tom Hiddleston. I imagine both have gotten offers many times that didn't pan out. I'll also add Claire Foy to that category of British stage/screen stars who just have never done a play in New York before. Lily Collins as well.
As for a younger group without as much stage experience, I would love to see Olivia Cooke, who was really amazing in Amazon's Vanity Fair. Many actors mentioned previously in this thread I fear would struggle to make their subtle choices come across in big theaters, but I think Margo Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, and Anne Hathaway could all carry star vehicles.
On a related note, it's been over 40 years now since Meryl Streep has been on Broadway. It's been over a decade since her last stage performance (Mother Courage). I would pay so much money that I don't have to be able to see her on Broadway.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
