Who’s seeing Adam, Auli’i, and Calvin’s first performance tonight?
Natascia Diaz also left the cast on Saturday, and Michelle Aravena begins tonight as Fritzie / Kost.

Lambert is knocking it out of the park and it’s only his first performance. Truly a great actor. He gives us fantastic vocals but doesn’t blow you away for the sake of doing so. Very nuanced, both funny and serious. That man is a great stage talent.
Cravalho knocked it out as well. I much preferred her take on the role prior to seeing it last spring. Just my opinion. I can’t say I agree with all the directorial choices for this production… but… she’s a great Sally. Warm, impetuous, and bold. Very likable … girl has great vocal chops for her age.
Both are going to have a very successful run with a great reception.
I JUST LISTENTED TO AN AUDIO OF HIS "I DON'T CARE MUCH"
TAKE MY F*CKING MONEY
TAKE MY MEASLY BORDERLINE AWFUL HOT TOPIC PAY
TAKE IT
TAKE IT NOW
I said this before but I honestly believe Adam Lambert has it in him to have the most haunting vocals of ‘I don’t care much’ ever. What is exciting but probably a little nerve wracking for the producers is it’s clear the ticket sales will be dependent on the replacement cast making an event out of the production again through the strength of their performances. I wish them well!!

Making an event out of the production again? Do you mean them having to keep up the show being an event, or do you mean that it wasn't event with Redmayne?
The first. I mean that the event status with Redmayne has gone. It seems pretty clear from the current advance that Redmayne was a major box office draw and that the production was centred around that. I don’t think it’s a guarantee that the show will last till March with the suggested running costs right now. We will have to see.
Meg Zervoulis is the new music director; Jennifer Whyte will stick around as music supervisor.

Didn't you already get tickets for November? What else are you seeing? Are you going to try rushing for other things?

I have a week I’m staying in NYC, I’ve helped pay for some of it but I’ve always had a jar under my bed that I’ve kept money for myself and this trip and general.
I have a few things I wanna see like Swept Away and Stereophonic (and more I have on a list) but I wanna try seeing some other things too
and while I do have tickets in November i might try and see it the Friday I don’t have anything planned for. Sure tickets are expensive but good god this is too good not to see twice
even though it would make it 19 times I’ve seen the show in general there’s never really too much cabaret.
Why would any producer NOT have Sunday performances? It’s the biggest moneymaker

It's not but as usual why would facts ever get in the way of your narrative.

Then why do most shows only ever have just a matinee on Sundays?

With few exceptions, Saturday matinees always sell better than Sunday matinees, and, in some cases, Saturdays are priced higher.

From when I was working merch and would get the house counts, if not full house manager's report, Sundays were almost never the best selling performance of the week. That almost always went to, as expected, Friday nights, and both performances on Saturdays.
Suffs has been doing way better Sunday matinees and Wednesday matinees than on weekends. It definitely depends on the show. The more commercial shows do better on Friday and Saturday nights

You previous statement you just said the opposite.

I hope the people who stood up for you on another thread don't consider this "picking on you" as I am just stating the facts and correcting your falsities.

And do you correct the falsities of every person who posts on here?
It must be exhausting...

I didn't realise how well the show had been doing, taking well over $1.5m on most weeks. Going off the chatter on here i thought it wasn't doing well at all. I might have to go and see it again in November.
I do hope that Auliʻi Cravalho is better than she was in Evita, dropping her lines and forgetting to come on stage when she should have.
Is it possible the schedule might be influenced by the leads? If I was Adam lambert and I wanted to be on Broadway the prospect of having a Sunday off would make it more compelling because you could actually socialise on Saturday night. The typical Broadway 8 shows a week really seems to require you to live like a nun.
