For a few days now they’ve quickly been deleting comments that are simply speculative of replacement casting and not breaking any sort of rule whatsoever. It’s been very odd to follow.

I stand by my OPINION that it’s in poor taste, and maybe hurtful, coming from him specifically. I have made no comment of other people speculating."
He runs Broadway.com- he’s hardly someone who needs to conceal his opinions on who he’d like to see take over a role when an actor has announced their departure. It’s not like he called Feldstein untalented."
I happen to think that him running this site is the EXACT reason he should more often than not remain impartial. But even if we agreed that he should be able to express his opinion as if he were removed from this site… that’s hardly what he’s doing. It’s almost like he’s teasing an announcement.
So strange that based on all of this speculation, mere speculation, an actual article has come out saying Lea Michele will replace Beanie. I will not believe anything until Playbill or another credible source announces it. I don’t think this website is a credible source…

I think that Broadway.com and BroadwayWorld.com are two distinctly different sites....unless I'm misconstruing the use of "this"."
Oops, my bad but my point remains the same. If you’re running one of the largest Broadway sites, remain professional and don’t get sucked into playing along with starting or perpetuating rumors. He’s not just another faceless person hiding behind a keyboard. I’ve beaten my point to the ground. I’m not going to argue or defend my opinion any further. I’m allowed to think it’s tacky and you’re allowed to think otherwise.

No one made any comment regarding the post. I simply posted it. Thank you for dissecting it and over-analyzing it to provide a response on something no one was even questioning. Google hobbies.
But you posted it...did you NOT expect to have anyone mention it? I see no deep diving here, just a comment - friends support friends. Might she have meant every word? Of course, but even if she didn't, thats the right thing to do.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
We all here on these boards and who care about show biz know who Beanie is, but outside of that she is definitely NOT well known at all. She's not a star. She's established and known in the industry, but I bet you go ask any random tourist in Times Square who she is, they won't know.
That's precisely any generic convo about Feldstein the "star." Eerily similar to one I had waiting for the train after the matinee that I saw.
She scored in a couple of indie movies and an under-viewed cable series, and was the third female role in the Dolly revival. There's a solid reason she's billed with three other actors over the title. The public at large doesn't know her. The show finally-in-revival has proven to be the event. Feldstein returned Thursday and remains on TKTS. The production is a modest success story so far, but it has done fine with another actor playing the lead 22 times.

I have yet to find an entertainment publication which hasn't posted this news on their on-line platform. I think Leah Michele's publicists are working over-time to get this 'wishful casting' in the rumor mill with the hope it becomes a reality.
Gaga would NEVER be the replacement to anyone, especially a critically panned production.
Had she been interested in bringing FUNNY GIRL to Broadway, she herself would have produced a top-tiered revival with a major Broadway line-up and a lavish production. She’s not going to be a replacement to an actress critically panned in a subpar production ON Broadway.
Confirmed Lea with absolutely reliable sources. Trying to confirm if Rosie is even a possibility to replace Jane. Not expressing any opinion on these choices - simply sharing what I've confirmed
