Does anyone know where I can find the planned absence dates for the replacement cast?
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
I've seen this production twice on the West End. I was able to catch Maude/Mason last year and Layton/Rhea a few weeks ago. I have no idea if it'll be running next time I make it to London, so I'm debating trying to squeeze in a visit to see the Broadway production in March, which is when I'm planning my trip to see Gypsy... It looks like Adam/Auliʻi are slated to be there the week I'm aiming for, but has there been any word of Bebe exiting?
There hasn't been any word yet about the length of her contract. I think it'd be safe to assume she's contracted for a year, which means next March could be iffy.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I cannot imagine any replacement signed a 12 month contract here. If casting in NY is anything like it has been in London, I would say the leads will exit after 3-6 months.

They're talking about Bebe. Tickets are on sale until March 29, which is the end of 12 months since the first preview. If Bebe is contracted for a year, that'll be her departure date. As for the leads, they're probably contracted until that date, as well, which would be just over 6 months for them. For above-the-title stars, the assumption is that they won't sell tickets beyond the end of their contracts without notifying buyers of a cast change, like they did with Eddie and Gayle.

Thanks for this! Sally Ann Triplet as Schneider was the highlight of the current West End cast for me and kind of stole the show, so if Bebe is still there, it'd be a huge draw for me. I didn't realize it'll already be coming up to a year already this March! Could have sworn the show barely started in May/June.
Please help me choose seats: center front row (D) of Orch, available on both sides, or center front row of mezz , available on both sides. I just heard a snippet of AL, and though I did not care for this in London, he’s making me want to see it again.

Would probably be wise. Those grosses are going to continue to drop unless they find higher-profile replacements, which seems unlikely considering how poorly the production was received over here and how little of an event it became post-Redmayne. They could feasibly cut the preshow cast and accoutrements; but then you have an absolute nothingburger of a production and lots of sad, empty lobby space.
Yeah, this replacement cast seemed like such a slam dunk and hasn't done what's needed. It wouldn't surprise me if they close in March at all. I think they could have juice to go a little bit beyond that. But, I'm sure ATG will want that theatre ready for a new tenant in the 25/26 season.
or posslbly an early Summer opening of The Jellicle Ball? Just speculating since they've already excavated the crap out of the house and both production companies can split the cost of the renovation. Anyone have more concrete projections?

it's honestly kind of saddening to me that it might close in march. Sure, grosses suck and it doesn't seem good for this but I genuinely enjoyed this when i saw it last Wednesday.
The preshow was amazing, me and my little brother were going up and down each floor just exploring. We were like two dumb kids on Christmas just exploring in awe at what we were experiencing. The show itself was incredible, just perfectly marvelous. My jaw was dropped the whole time, I laugh and genuinely sobbed when this was over, since cabaret is the show that I would say saved my life.
I hope they find a good replacement cast and hopefully find their footing here, Maybe reviewing every cast like in London might do good, though everyone will still look at Redmayne for the main choosing of the show and i hate that. I hate that this production was slammed and only praised with Redmayne when I'd say it's gotten better without him.
I love this show and this production, and hopefully they find their footing for years to come. Though I'm just a dumb 16 year old, who's gonna care about my opinion about a revival of a 60 year old musical? No one here I'd think. But this was a great time, and I hope it's around long enough so i can catch it again and again and again. I love cabaret, and no time will ever be my last time seeing it, damned if it's on broadway or not.

Happy to hear you enjoyed it, but I don't think it's correct to say that the reviews only praised Redmayne when from what I remember, he seemed to be one of the weakest links in the reviews. I'm seeing it on Tuesday and the general positive uptick in notices on here have made me hopeful (I think the direction was a bit off for me but I'm curious what Adam and Auli'i will bring to it), and I agree it could get more attention by inviting critics with every new cast, though I doubt anyone replacing would ever be able to command the ticket prices Redmayne did (apart from his fame, like him or hate him, I suppose he did make it weird enough for people to come out of morbid fascination).
