Zoom calls being set up with producers and cast & crew for 4PM. This is not looking good. Hoping for just better protocols and they're wanting to calm everyone's fears.

Some shows are requiring more. Some theaters allow the rapid test (of which there are two types) and some require the 24h lab pcr."
Shows have been testing three times a week minimum for a while now. The number of tests required per week is dictated by the positivity rate."
Not all of them test more than two times per week.

According to a cast member, there are 19 positive cases on Hamilton.
They said "There were a couple of Covid cases Wednesday morning. Then we did impromptu testing at the theater after the matinee. From those tests, we learned there were more cases. There are 19 cases at HAM at this point. Please send love to those who are healing".
HAMILTON ain't coming back anytime soon. Not until after Christmas.

My math may be wrong on this, but if the odds of a breakthrough case in a fully vaccinated person are 1 in 100, and 19 cast members got it, there was a .000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of this happening.
We need more research on this new variant. I don't think the odds are 1 in a hundred anymore.
Tina not back tonight. I had tickets and got an email about five minutes ago informing me of the cancellation.

Ummm….have you not been reading any news outlets? It’s well known that vaccination only provides about 30% effectiveness from infection with omicron, but does much better at protecting from serious symptoms and hospitalization.

I'm thinking Radio City is done. Too many people to replace and only 2 weeks left to their run.

Red bull theater announced the rest of the run of The Alchemist has been cancelled. They also released a press release this morning that it would be streaming in January. Anyone know if they already filmed it for the stream or they were planning to film it this weekend?

While You Are Party at SoHo Rep has cancelled all remaining performance
At least as of right now today, this is the important thing to remember when considering where we’re at -
“I’m sorry that four shows have to go down, but I’m also proud that we have 28 shows performing,”
