I thought my code got lost in the mix, but I guess I just didn't enable the notifications, because to my surprise I found $60 worth of referral discounts today! Thanks guys, off to the theater!
I used a code last night and got 2 tix for On The Town, Row X ( orch) for $20 total. It was via the Today Tix lottery. Seat locations for lottery seem to be quite nice cause I saw other lottery winners sitting nearby. The box office employee told me they try and give the best seats they can for the lottery depending on availability (btw, my code's LGWLV).
Apologies in advance because this post is going to make me sound pretty unintelligent, but here goes nothing...
Can someone explain exactly how these referral codes works? A PM is fine if you don't want to bog down the thread!
I have the Today Tix app, but I haven't purchased any tickets yet (I've used it to enter the On The Town lotto - no luck).
If I enter one of the codes listed in this thread when purchasing tickets, I get $20 off my purchase, right? But it's only valid for my first purchase ever, i.e. I can only get the discount once ? And when I see the show the person who provided the code gets a $20 credit?
Hey PianoMann, Having both used a discount code AND received and used a referral credit, your idea of how the TodayTix codes work is correct! If you use one of the codes listed above, you will receive $20 off your first order on the app, only. I have attempted out of curiosity to use a different code for a second purchase and the app notifies you immediately that you may only use one of these referral codes once, on your first order. When you list or give out your own personal code and someone uses it for their first purchase, after they attend the performance you will get an additional $20 credit on your app to use for future purchases. Very easy and fun and a great way to see shows for less!
I feel like so many people are posting their codes that none of them that are this deep into the thread are going to be used, which sucks for me because I was late to the party as well.
