The moral of Spring Awakening is "sex education is the only thing that will keep your sons from sitting in a hole and playing jizzy biscuit."

The moral of Les Miserables is "heaven is exclusively for thieves, hookers and the homeless."

The moral of Hamilton is "always shoot to kill, except when you shouldn't."

Wicked, Scottsboro Boys, Ragtime, Parade:
Racism is alive and kicking in America - and will be for a loooong time.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I took it to mean: not the intended moral. (But I totally see the other side.)

The moral of "Annie Get Your Gun" is: You CAN get a man with a gun.

The moral of "Rent" is: Mediocre artists get free housing.

Oklahoma: Don’t worry about telling the mentally ill individual to kill himself and challenging his life. If you can take him on physically, you’ll still be able to have the town on your side in the murder trial!
