Personally, if it were me I'd get Patina Miller to sing "Last Midnight" on TV although I guess the opening number probably appeals more to a family audience.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Just announced that Krysta Rodriguez is cast in THE COLLABORATION at MTC, beginning performances right after Thanksgiving. Obviously this means a new Cinderella joining the company soon-ish. Perhaps Soo is returning?
No but a good friend knows Brian D’arcy James and he will be in it till the end… also looking at the 24th end date for Benton maybe possible the whole original Broadway cast returns for the last two weeks?

That would be an amazing way to conclude this magical revival!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
At what point did they close the balcony for ITW? Because I have heard on good authority that it is now closed (and they’re still having a tough time filling the other seats too).

If you look at the capacity in grosses, it's been a bit on and off over the past few weeks. 11k seats is total closure I think, but there were a couple weeks with 12k where I presume it was only closed on certain days, and 13k is fully open.
I looked at the online seating charts an hour before the matinee yesterday. About 40% of the orchestra was unsold and maybe 50% or more of the mezzanine.
Very excited about this. Also, mad at myself for getting hopes up of original cast reuniting to close the show, especially seeing Sara one more time as BW.

Children Will Listen is catchy, and works irrespective of the plot. Why they insist on these awkward poorly transitioned performances is beyond me.
