Neglecting my voice part (I'm a baritone-ish bass), my dream male role of all time would be Gordo from A New Brain. And neglecting my sex (I'm a guy :-P), my dream overall role of all time would be Rose from Gypsy. Such an emotionally layered and rich role. ::shudders::

Norma Desmond - SUNSET BOULEVARD
Ado Annie - OKLAHOMA!
Anna Leonowens - THE KING AND I
Sally Bowles - CABARET
Mary Poppins - MARY POPPINS

I'd also kill to be in ASSASSINS, FLOYD COLLINS, and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, so we could add Squeaky Fromme, Nellie Collins, and Clara Johnson to the list, but I would take ANY role just to be a part of those.

Okay- (really couldn't play any of these, but a gal can dream, right?)
Adelaide in Guys and Dolls-love show, love the character-possibly my favorite comedic role ever aside from Little Edie who is dramatic as well
Can't play this role ever, but Lady Thiang in The King and I (favorite R & H song is her solo)
Big/Little Edie in Grey Gardens (duh, we knew I was going to come up with this, right?)
Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard-As much as I usually don't like Webber, I adore the show and the score.
Louise in Gypsy-I have a special place for this character and love her development
Mme. Thenardier-Just to get the laughs in an otherwise dull, very difficult show to watch would be great
When I'm old enough...Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret-gets two of my favorite songs-"So What?" and "What Would You Do?" I also love the Pineapple scene. It's so cute.

For me...Mama Rose. Hands down.

Fraulein Kost in Cabaret is really the only character that I would love to play. Yes, kids, my biggest aspiration is to star as an accordion playing German whore.
