Academy Award and Tony Award winner Sam Mendes directs Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Adrian Lester as the Lehman brothers, their sons, and grandsons.

Ben Miles is doing The Mirror and the Light at RSC in London.
I am so happy this is coming back as I didn't get to see it before the pandemic. I will definitely be adding this to my roster of shows for my November trip!
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
Perhaps soon we'll be seeing similar announcements from West Side Story and The Book of Mormon. This is the first SR project besides the upcoming The Music Man to announce an opening/reopening date.

Missed chance to see it at the NY Armory. Snagged tkts to 3 different dates. Luv Sam Mandes' work too.

I was thinking this as well. I checked Ibdb as soon as I saw this announcement and the page still hadn’t been updated to reflect the new opening date, I wanted to see who might’ve taken over SR’s duties. I could see it just ending up being solely a Neal street production.

Very torn now. I didn’t like Lehman, and I had no intention of seeing it again. But Adrian Lester is fantastic. And I have yet to cross him off my “to see live” list. Is it worth spending $40+ and 3+ hours of my time at a show that bored me to tears, just to see an actor who isn’t even that old, and is likely to continue working onstage for decades to come? Sounds like I just answered my own question, but on the other hand, it might be cheaper/easier to see him in this than to use up a show slot on one of my future London trips just to see him in something else. Not to mention, I almost always operate under the “bird in the hand” principal when trying to decide to see a particular show or actor.

Apparently Mormon is getting some rewrites to "tone it down." Lawyers are probably still working on MM and WSS.
It's as if this show was written for Wall St. and/or those who remember and lived thru the financial nightmare of 2008. Could understand why some would find it dry.
Lehman was released from lawsuit. Excerpt from Broadway Journal. If you want to read full story, it says to subscribe, but it's free to sign up. Doesn't ask for credit card.
EXCLUSIVE: The company producing The Lehman Trilogy on Broadway has been removed from a lawsuit by the advertising agency SpotCo, simplifying the show’s return to New York after the Covid-related industry shutdown.
Adam Godley in Lehman Trilogy
SpotCo said Monday in a filing in New York State Supreme Court that it “wishes and intends to discontinue” the suit against Three Brothers Broadway LLC, which is presenting Stefano Massini’s acclaimed play about the now-defunct investment bank Lehman Brothers. In an Aug. 5, 2020 complaint against producer Scott Rudin and companies he managed, SpotCo alleged that it was owed $319,000 by Three Brothers Broadway for work done on behalf of the play. ********************************************* The following link was posted 4 hours ago in Yahoo.Finance. It's about Adrian Lester.
Thoughts on them remounting this for a limited engagement following all the wins last night? The rumor mill is already spinning. I know they're doing the TV series, but I feel like the show still has an audience for a commercial run.
I saw this in LA and really don’t get get the hype. The actors are great but the direction and design felt so dated the projections felt very 90s to me. I didn’t get all the hype. Dudes become rich, dudes scheme people, dudes become poor. The end.
