Very curious about this version. I still consider Matt Gould's phenomenal rendition to be the absolute best. I can hardly wait for this musical to finally arrive to Broadway!

Agreed! I saw this in both Williamstown (2018) and La Jolla (2022), and find the score to be exhilarating, beautiful, unique, dramatic, modern, emotional, dynamic. Not to mention, huge changes were made between those two productions, so I am very excited to see what kind of changes have been made since La Jolla. I love the whole show, but the score is the star for me. Really hoping that Lempicka can distinguish itself from the pack in this crowded season and at least bring home Best Score.
Wow, I haven't listened to too much from this show, but that song is Gorgeous! Beautiful video too, Eden sounds amazing. I just got real excited for this one.

Listening to the three songs, my only thought was that this is the coolest and most unique thing I've heard in a long time. I'm definitely rooting for it for Best Score. But, I think even moreso, I'm rooting for it for Best Orchestrations. The orchestrations are awesome and contribute so much to what gives it such a unique sound!
I have heard bits of this song. Great video and she sounds incredible. Can you imagine how she just may blow the roof off of the theater singing it live?
If they are smart they will release more videos like this of the songs to build buzz & get people interested.
There is a lot of great singing of songs people already know in Hell's Kitchen so all the new shows will have an uphill battle competing against it. The book in Hell's Kitchen is its biggest weakness, so if this is a more engaging story they'll have a chance.
But if this sing is just onr moment - like Let in Burn in Paradise Square, a flashy song in a crap show - it won't do much.
The old marketing idea was to keep spoilers under wraps & let people discover when they come see a show. No one has time for that today. No one wants to waste money on something when they are unsure if they will like it - that's why they go see Lion King again & again.
Put it all out there. If people know it will be fantastic from start to finish they'll buy tickets no matter the cost. It would be so much better for a new show's survival if they could open from a place of strength. This doesn't have a star cast to sell it like Sweeney or Merrily. If the score is the star, let people hear as much as possible as soon as possible.
That is a stunning way to promote the show I agree with Inception. Play your strong suit for a show like this. I live in Los Angeles and saw Lempicka in La Jolla. I didn’t have a lot of expectations (even with passing knowledge of the prior east coast run). For me the main draws were Rachel Chavkin and Eden Espinoza. But I don’t think the general public knows much about Lempicka, the composer or the people involved in the production. On seeing it - this was the first show in decades that I immediately bought a ticket at the box office afterwards to see it again because the show was so dynamic. I’m lucky to be going to New York in the spring and am getting a ticket to see it again to see how the show has developed.
Hard to tell from just these releases but if the show is still 75% power ballads, that did not work well in La Jolla so here’s hoping they have worked on that aspect as a completely original musical is always worth rooting for
Mariand Torres and Ximone Rose (Rose took over the Rafaela role from Amber Iman for the extension after the latter left to do Goddess at Berkeley Rep)

I’ve been thinking, what’s Aléna Watters up to these days? I’d love to hear her “Woman Is,” and she was Eden’s understudy in the pre-Broadway tryout ofBrooklyn.

8x a week for Eden and that's the Act 1 closer! - Women Is!

Eden will likely have a standby or alternate.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

As I explained in post #66 on this thread, everyone in the La Jolla principal cast except Jordan Tyson will make the transfer. Not sure about ensemble yet.
The Hell's Kitchen Broadway site says cast to be announced soon. On the Public's site it says Torres was "Millie"... was that the sort of nerdy friend?

The AEA casting call notice for HK lists the role of "Millie" as Available (one of the few roles they are re-casting), so it sounds like Ms. Torres chose to go with Lempicka.
