I forgot Richard Jay-Alexander (Les Miz) who basically wrote her a love letter. I'm sure I missed others. I know she and Chord from Glee are also friendly. Hell, even Naya who used to say bad things about her ended up being friendly with her and congratulating her on her wedding and pregnancy.

The fact several people on Glee have gone out of their way to say they won’t see Lea speaks volumes about them. They don’t have contact with her so how can they know who she is now? Have none of them every been cruel to anyone in their life and been deserving of forgiveness?
They seem like the bullies now."
Correct. And it wont affect ticket sales for her in any way. So, I guess they're the losers now....

Insert eye roll here. Unless Lea gets some kind of a bonus for ticket sales, it's not going to affect her either.
They haven't gone out of their way. They were asked direct questions by reporters. Chris even tried to side step it and deflect the question with humour. But the reporter dug in, as is their normal click baiting ways.
They aren't bullies for expressing their honest lingering effects of their personal experience with Lea Michele. It doesn't fit the definition of "bullying." McHale even offered that she would be phenomenal as Fanny and supported her Tik Tok "Lea can't read" video.
Maybe if she reached out to them to apologize personally over the last 4-5 years, these comments wouldn't be happening. Because I very much doubt she did.
Maybe they should all say "no comment", but then what fun would that be.
But let's be clear Lea was the bully on the set of Glee.
Having said that, I don't believe in "cancelling" people. Hopefully Lea as I said has changed. And I'm happy for her that she is receiving a second chance. But I don't really fault her former cast members for not supporting her in her new success, when she clearly burned bridges.
As much as I am fascinated and entertained by the drama that is Lea Michele, or to quote a tweet or tiktok I once saw "Mama Who Never Bores Me", I can't just get with her being the poor put upon victim. From the sound of it she was a terror on that Glee set (allegedly or whatever caveat one wants to use). Her castmates have every right to shout that they don't rock with her. With their whole chests! I guess I just don't understand finding fault with that.
Personally I prefer Amber's approach. She seems to have mostly taken a "I don't want to talk about her no more, I want to talk about me" angle. But either way to handle it seems perfectly fair.
So tired of clicking onto this thread and reading chatter about Glee-era Lea and all the drama and hullabaloo from a decade ago. I'm glad for the so many of you that are endlessly entertained by the gossip and ever-churning rumor mill, but when I click into this thread, I would prefer to read about the title/topic of the thread: Lea Michele in Funny Girl. Reviews and updates and all that such. I'm just SO bored of the Page Six stuff. Can someone please start a separate thread for the people obsessed with that?
"Michele’s performance in “Funny Girl” is one of the top five musical theater performances I’ve seen in my lifetime. The last time I was this overcome at a curtain call was after Patti LuPone turned “Rose’s Turn” into a gloriously harrowing nervous breakdown in the 2008 Broadway revival of“Gypsy.”""
Fantastic review. Only only one I can think of missing now is Adam Feldman from Time Out."
Production might not have invited him. His original review was beyond scathing. I did enjoy it because it was so honest. I hope he gets to go back.

Lea Micheleand I met 17 years ago, at the audition that led us to playing opposite each other in “Spring Awakening.” I was from the farmlands of Lancaster, Penn., and Lea was this tough kid from the Bronx. She already had three Broadway credits to her name, while I was inexperienced, closeted and scared of her. At 18, she was sharp, funny, frank and saw everything.
Lea told me that before she found success on the stage, she and her family were scraping by. Her mom was a nurse, and her dad worked at the family deli in the Bronx. The morning they got the call that Lea, then 8, would be making her Broadway debut in “Les Misérables,” she spent the day bagging food at the register. This was 1995, and her grandfather, Porky, was still in prison for his ties to the Gambino crime family. Lea would visit him once a month on her days off from the theater. Learning how to deal with that complexity, combined with her success as a child actor, turned Lea into the force that I fell in love with in our early years."
Another thing amusing and ironic about Lea visiting her grandfather in prison is Fanny visited Nicky when he was in SingSing early on in their real-life relationship. More life experience to back up Lea's characterization. How hard that must have been.

The same people who bashed Beanie repeatedly--yes including people who haven't seen the show who criticize others for supporting Beaning without seeing the show--are not deeply indignant that Lea Michelle's bad behavior has ramifications. For some reason they want that to stop right now. It won't stop. It is what it is. Just like the ongoing attacks against Beanie are what they are.
As a avid theatre lover I generally enjoy reading of all things "Theatre" on boards such as this one. I know they are for "discussion" but I have to admit that it get's old real fast wading thru the comments that are just downright nasty (towards shows, performers, OTHER POSTERS, etc.). I get it if you don't like something or someone else's opinions, but some people are like a dog with a bone ... they just refuse to LET IT GO!! If you have issues with another poster then PLEASE take it PRIVATE and don't inflict it on all the rest of us!!

According to his twitter, he was in the theatre on October 1st.

You are the one bringing Beanie up."
I bring up the comparison. It's hypocritical for people who brought up the subject of Beanie to attack her over and over to now complain that people do it with Lea. And, actually, there are STILL posts from people bringing up Beanie to attack her, and she's not even with the show anymore. If one is okay, both are okay.

Actually it's not hypocritical at all. The criticisms of Beanie mostly focused on the unfortunate fact that she was nowhere near up to the role of Fanny vocally. I don't recall anyone "attacking" her character or saying that she was anything other than a lovely person. One can certainly hold that opinion and also think it's inappropriate for Lea's performance to be judged and maligned based on years-old personal allegations that have nothing to do with the performance she's delivering at the August Wilson seven times a week.
