On the 1994 J & H recording with Warlow and Eder i love during Someone Like You the final time she sings And Id Feel so ALIVE!!! the echo on that is incredible. I also love when her when she sings in a new life "Thats why I ve been here for a long long while or something to that extent thats what it sounds like shes saying her voice just blows me away on that line.

On the bright lights cd I love during Odeon when Eden belts out "Would you be less quite if you could" its my favorite part of the entire recording.

<------ Me and my friends with patti Lupone at my friends afterparty for her concert with audra mcdonald during the summer of 2007.

Every single time Matt Doyle sings in Bare

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

In the Wicked finale, when the girls sing "I have been changed" leading into "no one mourns the wicked!" I think it sounds lovely, particularly Idina's note. Another Wicked one would be Kristin's "anticipated" in Thank Goodness, and the "I hope you're happy in the end" harmony from Defying Gravity.

From Bat Boy: Deven May's "the last thing that you'll EVER see" to the end of the song in Apology To A Cow. Also, pretty much anything Deven sings in A Joyful Noise, Reprise. Love me some Deven May.

From the Bare sampler CD: In Are You There, the Michael/Aaron harmony on "there for me" and then Michael's big "send a sign so that I know you're there".

Lippa's The Wild Party: After Idina's riffing outburst in The Juggernaut, she makes this very strange, almost "ribbit" type of noise. Yes, "ribbit" like a frog. It sounds like she was trying to say "baby" but she got a little excited. It cracks me up.

Ragtime: "our son will rise on the wheels of a dream." Makes me cry every time I hear it. And frankly, who doesn't love "Sarah come down to me!" Brian Stokes Mitchell is what I would imagine God's singing voice to sound like, if God were to sing.

In "The Ballad of Booth" from the Revival of Assassins, when Michael Cerveris sings "What I done/I done well," and it almost modulates to this beautiful, low minor thing-breaks my heart every time!
In "A Miracle Would Happen" from L5Y: so many, but especially "Because I can't F*CK HER anyway," and his second, exasperated "ITTT'S a challenge!" Norbert Leo Butz acts the hell out of that song, and it's just so hilarious and perfect!
Also, in "When You Come Home to Me," : "Whyyyy does this pianist hate me!" and "Should I sing louder? I'LL SING LOUDER!"-I laugh out loud every time I hear that song.
And in the OBC of Hair, during "The Flesh Failures," when Claude sings his last "That's me," and just wails it! It's soooo gorgeous and passionate.

Two from "Follies":

"Hey. up there! Way up there! Whaddaya say, up there?" - Have to say sometimes I wish the entire song sounded like those notes.

"If you don't kiss me, Ben, I think I'm going to die." - but, ahem, the version that really gives me the chills is from Mandy Patinkin's Oscar & Steve album.

And from Sunday in the Park with George, OBC with Bernadette:
"I love your eyes, George." Oh, and of course those final double trumpet notes from "Sunday."

In the Heights:
Breathe: When Nina sings "Maybe it's me, But it all seems like lifetimes ago" and "When I was a child I stayed wide awake, climbed to the highest place on every fire escape."

96,000: When Vanessa sings " If I win the lottery..."

Blackout: When Nina sings "Has anyone seen Benny? Benny!"

When You're Home: Nina and Bennys final harmoney when they sing "I'm Home!". That always gives me chills!

Billy Elliot:
Once We Were Kings: the accapella part at the end!

Not Only Puffs (from the Demo): It always gives me chills when Dad sings "You're banned from bloody ballet, you're banned from boxing too!"

The Letter: When Billy sings " But Please mommy, know that I will always be, proud to have known you."

I LOVE when Sondheim growls " You ain't eighty-eight cents from me, Rose" on the OBC recording of GYPSY.

For YEARS I wondered why they hired such a young sounding guy to play Rose's father.

Legally Blonde Remix-Have to love "you got the best friggin' shoes!"
Find My Way/Finale-I love Orfeh's "and we live out in Worcester!"

In the Heights:
96,000-Andrea Burns growling "start my life with a brand new lease"; Robin de Jesus "I was just thinking off the top of my head"
No Me Diga-Andrea Burns's "Carla, he's packing a stretch limousine!"
When You're Home-The crazy harmonies and overlapping ad libbing near the end. Fantastic!
Finale-Bolero Singer "para siempre, para siempre, para siem, para siem, para siempre"

Seeing as I am on an In The Heights kick:

-During the opening song, when Usnavi sings, "You must take the A-Train"
-"We came to workin', to livin', we got a lot in common."
-During 'It Won't Be Long Now', Usnavi's line, "I'm runnin' to make it home.."
-"Shut up, go home, and pull your damn pants UP."
-"It's late and this grate won't come down.."
-"I got a baseball bat on a rack in the back.."
-"We are powerless, we are powerless!"
-Usnavi's little rap to the bartender/girl during the bar dance.
-Usnavi talking about his parents during 'Hundreds of Stories'.
-Usnavi's opening to Alabanza.
-"I told you I run this town!"
-"I'm fine, I'm trying to open this champagne.." that whole verse.
-"Where I drop this hip-hop, in my ma' and pa' shop."

In The Heights as well.
-The power out sound effect from "The Club"- love it.
-In "No Me Diga", Karen's "You were always the best, no doooooubt!"
-"The Club" Seth's "We're throwing bottles in the street.." verse, it sounds great when it kicks in.
-"When the Sun Goes Down" - "And ill think of you every night; at the same tiiiiiime" SOSOSOSO gorgeous.
-Not necessarily a favorite, but the part in "In the Heights" when Lin says "Nice!" always catches my attention, it just doesn't sound right, volume and pitch wise, if that makes any sense.

The Grand Tour:
Florence Lacey's last 'I Belong Here!' in the song "I Belong Here"
When Ron Holgate sings "Till you have met, Marianne!" in "Marianne".

Two incredible performances from an incredible score.

From Myths And Hymns in the song Pegasus, when Audra comes in as the fly with some skat. "bud-uh-bup...etc." I love it.

Also, from The Apple Tree during the Passionella third, when the chorus asks the mysterious woman who she is, and Barbara Harris squeaks out "I'm Passionella!" in a mousy, child-like voice. Love it!

The opening piano part of Will You? from Grey Gardens is absolutely heartbreaking and easily my favorite part of the entire score/CD.

In the Sweeney Revival during God That's Good, when Patti and Michael are harping on about the chair, Manoel is playing the theme from Not While I'm Around on his violin. It's so creepy, yet touching at the same time.

A non singing moment: On the cd of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels....John Lithgow comes on to keep a spoiler from happening and then begs you to buy tickets since he has a mortgage to pay....or is it kids in college? Not sure, it's been a while since I've listened to it.

Title of Show- "The Tony Award Song", Hunter saying, "but I like that song!" He sounds so funny! Haha

And in "Nine People's Favorite Thing" when they start "those 9 people will tell 9 people.."

Avenue Q- "Purpose", Princeton singing "It's a siiigggnnnnnn!!!"

Thoroughly Modern Mille- In the finale when Jimmy sings "have you seen the way they kiss in the movies?" I MELT. Basically everything Gavin Creel sings in that show.

Wicked- "Defying Gravity", how Kristin and Idina harmonize on "just you and I defying gravity" is amazing.

The Last 5 Years- "See I'm Smiling," "to the skkkyyyyyyy and I.." is heartbreaking. And in "A Miracle Would Happen" when Norbert starts singing "I'll be there soon Kathy.." I love that whole part.

Avenue Q- "Fantasies Come True" when Kate and Rod start harmonizing..so beautiful.

Though not a recording per say (thpough if there's a CD of this ,let me know) but I love from the video of the 1990 Opera Recording of A Little Night Music with Sally Anne Howes and Maureen Moore, the moment in "Every Day a little Death", where Maureen holds out "I'd Die..." It gives me chills every time!!!

Also, in "Weekend", where she shouts "Ya ha!" It's so delciously Charlotte, I'm suprised noone else has said it like that.

As you can tell, Maureen Moore, in my opinion, is the only person who could ever play that role.

On the Beauty and the Beast OBC during The Mob Song, after Belle says "He's not the beast Gaston, you are", you can hear a few guys in the background go "Ooh...". It's pretty funny. Listen for it.

On the Spring Awakening recording, when Moritz starts singing on "Touch Me," when the backing vocalists sing "Oh, I go" in harmony with his "Where I go." The sound of it almost brings me to tears.

I love on the revival recording of She Loves Me, when Sally Mayes comes in during "I Don't Know His Name," especially when she sings "maybe I'd do much better myself with a library card and a gramophone". the way she and Diane Fratantoni blend is lovely.

when someone laughed during the sad moment in RENT OBC.
Alans take on "Willkkommen (spelling?)" and "Money". Love the berlin songs on the Cabaret OBC. Listening to "Goodtime Charlie" as we read. If you haven't heard it change that.
