Lin-Manuel tweeted something along the lines of "Raul, why didn't you prerecord like the rest of us?" which leads me to believe you're correct. I thought this was going to be akin to the Disney on Broadway concert for BC/EFA, where the recorded performance was woven in with Ryan McCartan's live hosting and interviews with some of the participants. Who knows, though."

He needed to delete that. It wasn't the time to be calling people out on what they chose to do or not do. It lacked class.
I think it actually works better without a host. The focus is now on celebrating Sondheim’a works and the man himself, and his works, performed by the pantheon of amazing artists, are enough to show why he is such a crucial part to our musical theater culture and consciousness.
I mean, I'll take the entertainment... but that rap should be comic gold, and why can't anyone put that to tape other than Bernadette? OBC recording is a perfect performance of the song.
Neal was more disappointing than Meryl in the movie... and that's a low bar to miss.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Judy Kuhn nailed my fave rare Sondhiem song. I am so glad she chose it. I wept. Katrina singing Johanna made my cry too. Stunning.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
It's pretty amazing to think that at one time, ALL of television was live. They were able to flawlessly pull off things like Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA with Julie Andrews, etc. The list goes on and on.
Oh, and this isn't live. All of these numbers were prerecorded. The only "live" thing about it was, I'm guessing, Raul doing the introductions. He's probably too upset to continue. At this point, I don't blame him.
Hopefully, the whole thing will be "fixed" tomorrow so that we can stream it on YouTube without all of the screwups.

Agreed.

I hope the whole thing will be available as a package tomorrow....keeps cutting out even after the delay....I hate to think what I am missing. I saw Kelli O'Hara and then Judy Kuhn thing just flat out froze up.
