They skipped Raul and started - so much for the one hour.... It's a Merrily overture.

It's less than half the viewership from 8PM, sad ![]()

The drummer for the Broadway Musicians' Merrily overture number is soooo handsome... ![]()

That drummer is hot. He was worth the hour wait.

agreed, but is the conductor superfluous since no one is in the same room (or even the same building), and no one is looking at him (I assume they don't have a feed of him running that they can see. Wouldn't there be a log of some kind even if he were being streamed?)

You haven't lived until you've seen Sutton Foster perform in front of a wall made of paper towels

Because it's taped and they still couldn't get it right. Pathetic!

The way things are going would you rather have had the whole show be live? :/

Not necessarily true. The Met sent YNS’s conducting in advance of final performance recording.

Is this all going to be pre-recorded? I was under the impression that this would be like the Live Met Zoom gala ...

Lin-Manuel tweeted something along the lines of "Raul, why didn't you prerecord like the rest of us?" which leads me to believe you're correct. I thought this was going to be akin to the Disney on Broadway concert for BC/EFA, where the recorded performance was woven in with Ryan McCartan's live hosting and interviews with some of the participants. Who knows, though."
ya lin tweeted and deleted this
