My orchestra seats were less than 300. Heck they were less than 200... Or I never would have purchased them.
The show is a ridiculous romp that made us laugh and squeal in absolute delight.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I love how many times this show gets on a roll where the laughter from one joke spills over into the next joke and the energy builds on itself into the most deliriously stupid crescendo possible. I legit couldn’t breathe at some points I was laughing so hard. It’s like if Mark Rylance had dropped acid and chewed on an adrenaline gland before going onstage as Olivia - absolutely unhinged and yet bizarrely refined and always on target. If they don’t make a pro-shot of this I may cry.

Shows advertise the number of weeks & the limited nature of their engagement allllll the time even when extensions are already built into contracts. It’s just a method of advertising to fill in the earlier performances.
Saw the 5p show today, and, for me, the show absolutely lost some of its downtown magic, mainly owing to the seemingly humorless theatregoers in my vicinity that were probably only there to see the current hot ticket. I'm guessing the 8:30p Saturday audience is more receptive, but the wet blankets around me this afternoon bummed me out.
I was also at the 5pm show and everyone around me seemed to be having a good time. I personally found this to be one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in years. Incredibly ridiculous, but I loved every second of it.
I was also at today’s 5pm show. My second time already. I was in the balcony and everyone around me loved it. It’s so silly and doesn’t take itself seriously. I’ll be back for a round 3 in August.

Oh Mary! has broken the Lyceum's 8-performance house record, grossing $1,054,998.00 for the week ending 7/21. It's the first time any show there has reached $1 million. Go, Cole!

I'd wondered this when they announced the B'way transfer. Maybe it was being transferred with the plans/contracts already in place for a live-capture. Could see this being a streaming (Hulu or Max or Apple etc.) thing. I would be thrilled to have this insanity preserved with the current cast!

I haven’t heard any plans for filming- and honestly, how often do straight plays get filmed these days?- but I had heard there were plans for further extensions if it seemed viable. If it’s reliably turning in these grosses, I can’t imagine this will be its only extension. It’s also a low cost show to run, which helps immensely.
