Aren't they supposed to announce an extension soon? Or announce that this will be an open run?

Anyone know if they have seats set aside for lottery/rush or is it only available if the show isn't sold out?
If Patti went to the Eagle, then yes.
Those are money raves.
Cole is brilliant in this but I’d love to see anOTHER actor try this role too.
Tituss Burgess and Donna Murphy are two that Cole has mentioned as actors they'd like to see take on the role.

I think a lot of wonderful people could do it, but if Amy Sedaris were ever to step in, I would pay a lot to see her. A lot.

This is an odd sentence.
I've worked with Cole as an actor and they are really quite something. The first thing we did together, I only knew them from Jeffrey and Cole Casserole, so I didn't quite know what to expect. During that rehearsal process, they became my rock and they exuded professionalism, diligence, intelligence and a strong grasp of character. And they led with kindness at every moment during that tense rehearsal process. Every time I've seen them move another step forward to this remarkable moment, I would be thrilled for them because they are one of the people I respect most in this business.

And what is Cole, a duck?

Wow,, what a truly stupid and ignorant comment. Cole is an actor and a pretty good one at that.

an extension is more likely
If someone asked me to describe this show, I wouldn’t even know what to say. It was weird and random and inappropriate and chaotic, but all of those thing are what make it so good. Laughed for an hour and a half, and I’m a BIG FAN of the 5pm start time!

belated correction that this was a typo and should have said ANOTHER ACTOR, not AN ACTOR! 🤦 OY!
Cole is of course an actor, and they are great in this role!
I meant that having seen Cole do this twice, I think it would work just as well with another actor (of any gender) as Mary. The play is strong enough that it does not live and die by Cole's performance.
I wonder why they haven't announced an extension yet. Is there another show looking to take the Lyceum for the Spring?
I would be surprised if it went through the spring, at least for the time being. December/Jan would be 3-4 additional months. It’s on sale through Sept 15.
Sometimes people use a strategy where if sales are brisk but perfs aren’t sold out, wait a bit to extend so the performances that are currently on sale can fill in before they get diluted with more dates. If there is to be an extension then perhaps that comes early August. Or tomorrow. Or in late August. There are no rules!

Fingers crossed for an extension so I can catch it when I'm in New York last weekend of October.

I'm sure there will be an extension of couple weeks or so? .....though it clearly says "12 Weeks only"
I can’t find a ticket for less than $300. I guess this is the new normal. Grrrr.

Unless you're looking at only a few select dates, I'm seeing multiple performances on Telecharge with seats available from $58 (incl good orchestra seats for $178).
And the only seats in the mezzanine that are over $300 are in the front row. Every other seat there is way less than that, from $74-220.

That doesn't make for NEARLY the dramatic statement though.

True, fact-based statements are usually super boring.
