For anyone looking to get tickets to an upcoming performance, I noticed that Joshua Henry has scheduled absences on November 3 and December 7. Also, Shaina Taub is scheduled out on November 19 (both shows) and November 20.

Sure -- if you want that 'I wait 45 minutes and then have 30 minutes to eat the cold french fries' vibe, But I'm sure it's not just marketing that keeps them crowded.
The Lincoln Center area (1/2 mile in each direction) has at least a dozen really good dining experiences, for a (NYC) reasonable price. You dont have to settle for the places across the street.
"
You going to name these restaurants or just criticize other people's reasonable suggestions? It's a notoriously poor area for dining. Been here fifteen years and don't have a go-to by Lincoln Center.
Of course if we're defining "immediate vicinity" as an entire mile of Manhattan..."
I didnt criticize anyone. I disagreed with an opinion. Ive never met or spoken to the person who posted -- on what basis would I ever criticize him/her?(Although it seems to be sort of common on these threads).
I defined the scope of search as being 'The Lincoln Center area' which I went on to define as ONE HALF mile in each direction. That's different from your making it the 'immediate vicinity' (which I really cant quantify in any way.). And then you turned what I said into 'an entire mile of Manhattan'. That's not what I said. I said 1/2 mile -- 10 city blocks -- (although they are all between 58th to the South (7 blocks away) and 69th to the North (four blocks away), now that I actually look at a map.)
As to my go-tos -- I sent a private message to the person who asked for recommendations. Perhaps he/she will consider the choices, perhaps not. He/She asked, so I sen them along. I dont have any financial or rooting interest in any of these places, and dont want to do their advertising for them. (Or open myself up for more attacks, now that I think about it.)
Stay safe
It is absolutely bizarre to say "I don't want to do their advertising for them" when asked for restaurant recommendations. What planet are you from?

Seeing it tonight - how have the understudies for Sarah and Tateh been? Uranowitz and Lewis have been out the past two nights.

Are both confirmed to be out tonight, Thursday?

They were both in last night.
Billy Cohen was on for Tateh on Sunday, as was Briana Carlson-Goodman for Emma Goldman. From something I overheard at the stage door, it seemed like it happened without a lot of notice or rehearsal. Cohen was great - charismatic and soulful, with a lovely voice.

That is false, as Brandon sounded fantastic last night.
Brandon was out Sunday matinee, Tuesday evening, and Wednesday matinee.
Shaina was out Sunday matinee and Tuesday evening.
Nichelle was out Tuesday evening and Wednesday matinee.
All were back as of Wednesday evening.

Misunderstood the “understudies.org” apologies all.

I understand it. Similarly, I never ever mention a show I like by name on this forum because I don't want to do their advertising for them, either.

November 3rd is a Monday. I’m concerned because I’m seeing this next weekend and I love JH. I absolutely don’t want to miss him. Where do I find if he’s scheduled to be out?
Joshua Henry is out Sunday, November 2nd, not the 3rd. It’s listed on Telecharge under About the Show and also before you buy tickets for those dates.

I'm sorry, can you elaborate on this? Or are you being sarcastic and I just missed it? I'm just curious because I've never thought of a recommendation as me performing 'a service ' for a show/restaurant or whatever. I understand not wanting a restaurant to get to popular/crowded, but that's another matter.

Whew!
Thank you!
Looks like they recorded the album today. Looking forward to listening!

The band started laying down tracks yesterday, and the cast joined them today.
Should be a fun listen.

For future reference, I did see understudies for Sarah, Tateh, and Emma last week. The Sarah understudy was fantastic - I liked her much more than the regular woman. She felt much more in the world/style of Audra. I didn’t think the regular lady was a very strong actor and she was working way too hard (both acting and vocals). Not a fan. The Tateh understudy was serviceable, but I think Uranowitz is giving a Tony-level performance, so it was unfair to expect anywhere near that level. The Emma cover was good. I find that to be a thankless, unexciting role, but that’s just me.

No extension has been announced (yet). If it does, I'm guessing she'll leave on January 4th.
Had the chance to see this production over the weekend and honestly can’t think of a single negative thing to say about it. I’ve been pleading for a revival of this show for YEARS and this one did not disappoint. I can’t think of a more important time for this story to be told or a better cast to do it. Would I have liked a more elaborate set, yes, but the quality of the performers and the show itself were so top tier I hardly even missed a set, and what they had I thought was utilized very well. Here’s to hoping for an extension so that I may get the chance to go a second time in the spring.
Also Shaina Taub commented on my Instagram post and thanked me for coming and I almost died.
I finally got to see this today and loved it. A terrific production with so many excellent stage pictures. Such a beautiful piece of art with an outstanding ensemble. Loved seeing Lauren Blackman and Morgan Marcell. Lots of Tony-worthy performances including Josh Henry, Brandon Uranowitz and Ben Levi Ross. I hope this extends so I can revisit this winter.

I was also there yesterday (matinee). Not a weak link in the cast. Is it too long? Yes, but it is magnificent. I also liked Caissie Levy more than I did at CC. She is superb. But the whole cast....fantastic.
I'm going to assume an extension is indeed happening but they'll probably announce it along with Levy's replacement.
Did anyone here catch John Clay III’s Coalhouse debut today?
