SUFFS Will Be Filmed For PBS Great Performances

Broadway Reddit is showing signs on the street for the show being filmed for Great Performances. The link feature isn’t working for me, otherwise I’d link to it. 

If true, it’s the perfect show for them to do right now.

I so want this to be accurate, but the signs (which appear to be the basis for BWW’s “confirmation” ) are equally consistent with this being a GP “making of” documentary with some scene content, like they did for In the Heights and Hamilton. Can anyone confirm that the plan is to broadcast the entire show?

Good question. I also heard this is currently filming as a PBS documentary about the show and its journey and that only footage is being filmed for the documentary. Hopefully they’re also planning on filming the entire show for future broadcast as well during this filming schedule.

Hmm, earlier their headline had the "Rialto Chatter" heading which usually means it's rumored/unconfirmed but looking at it now, they removed that and it says that they have confirmed it will be filmed for television:

"Suffs is set to close on Broadway next month, but BroadwayWorld has confirmed that fans of the show will have the opportunity to view the production on their TV screens in the future as part of PBS' Great Performances series."

Emily Skinner has been reposting the announcement without adding anything like “it’s only a documentary” so I’d say it’s safe to assume the full is show being aired.
