SUFFS Will Be Filmed For PBS Great Performances

Broadway Reddit is showing signs on the street for the show being filmed for Great Performances. The link feature isn’t working for me, otherwise I’d link to it.

If true, it’s the perfect show for them to do right now.

Splendid news!! The most GORGEOUS production of the best musical on Broadway. They deserved so much more.

This is exactly the sort of thing that should be filmed for PBS. How exciting.

I so want this to be accurate, but the signs (which appear to be the basis for BWW’s “confirmation” ) are equally consistent with this being a GP “making of” documentary with some scene content, like they did for In the Heights and Hamilton. Can anyone confirm that the plan is to broadcast the entire show?

Hmm, earlier their headline had the "Rialto Chatter" heading which usually means it's rumored/unconfirmed but looking at it now, they removed that and it says that they have confirmed it will be filmed for television:

"Suffs is set to close on Broadway next month, but BroadwayWorld has confirmed that fans of the show will have the opportunity to view the production on their TV screens in the future as part of PBS' Great Performances series."

The Playbill article sites confirmation from production press representatives. That’s an official source. The BWW article originally only referenced the signs posted.
