Great list! Saw the show several weeks ago and loved it!

Do we think there will be any on sale tickets for the public?
Celebrities? At a Broadway opening? What WILL they think of next?

I actually sent Marc Shaiman a DM about this weeks ago because it's always been a bucket list item to see the opening night of a Broadway show. He told me that opening nights are almost always closed to the public and that even he was having to beg for 2 extra tickets :)

This must be a new trend revealing a party list. Do we really think Mariah will show up on time? lol

Well, I had a premonition I would not be on the guest list, so I paid for a ticket last Thursday night. It was Ghee’s first night back after a couple of days on the IL, and everyone looked terrific.

I'm not seeing a list. What am I missing?
A celeb guest list won’t fix the fact that the show is awful.

Well it’s a given that SJP will be there as she’s huge friends with Scott W.

The post by BETTY22 was deleted, strangely (by mods probably). I mean, why not delete the whole thread? I will never understand moderation around here.
Audience Rewards has front balcony seating available for opening night:

How is the view from the balcony for this show? Considering going to opening.
Saw from the last row of the balcony - perfect view and sound, May have the lean forward during a few moments, but great view nonetheless.

Thank you!! Just submitted my request for the audience rewards!

Agree, right? He has to be the most annoying, obnoxious kiss-ass.He raves about every show when he does all these opening nights and how exciting are you to be here tonight! Ugh! His act is so tiresome. Doesn't Broadway World realize that?

That would make sense. But also, these lists are creepy and stalker-ish anyway. With the way the world is these days, I wouldn’t like the idea of being a public figure and having a bunch of randos on a message board know exactly where I’ll be and at what time with advanced notice

While I agree that he is annoying because his personality is grating, I'm not sure what else you'd expect him or anyone to do on a red carpet. That's what it's for - to have celebrity guests talk about the show to publicize it.
Ask them, "I know you don't want to be here at this hot mess of a show tonight; what else do you wish you were doing?"
(Would honestly make the coverage much more entertaining.)

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't those lists come from press releases therefore supposed to be public information? It's not like members here stalking celebrities and creating lists on their own.
If a "bunch of randos" were creating such information while violating privacy of the public figures, I would fully support deleting it. If producers are intentionally releasing such lists to say "hey see all the cool and famous people that will be there", it makes no sense to delete it in my humble opinion.

that's complete BS. I thought the show was fantastic and loved every minute of it and I am glad to be going back on opening night.
what is wrong with these nasty negative people who just make up lies and put them on this message board? All your lives so pathetic that's all you have to do?
You don't have to like a show, but you didn't dismiss the work of all the creators and performers is ridiculous and vicious. I just ran into somebody the other day who also thought the show was exceptionally good.
No one really cares about the opening night guest list except for a portion of people on this board that actually take the time to scroll thru the countless awful red carpet pictures
So people are not talking about the show anymore on SLIH’s normal thread, so we now have to drum up nonsensical attention here about the “A-Listers” going to the opening? Mariah isn’t going and therefore no one cares.
