YEAH!
at the knitting factory.
at the knitting factory.
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

Hola --
I'm a little loopy after having been up for many many hours on little sleep, but wanted to take a moment to share some lovely tidbits of today:
We met Rob Cavallo, the record producer, who's very cool and smart and eager to get to work. We sang through as much of the score as we could for him, without having Jesse, Taye, and Idina around. It's especially exciting for me to watch Rosario grow more and more confident with her voice. She really sounds great, but is occasionally a little unsure of herself, since she's not had as much experience as the rest of us. But when she cuts loose and goes for it it's *really* exciting.
The other fun item on the agenda was the beginning of work on the staging of La Vie Boheme. There will be little echoes of moments from the stage production, but it's going to be a new animal overall, since it's on film, and that's all I'll say about it at the moment.
Have a good night, everybody.
Take care --
Anthony

Thanks, Anthony! *bounce*
Oh, and OhsoWicked, I do live in NYC.... I just have to leave at a VERY inopportune time.
*sigh*
Oh, well. I haven't missed a think all year, with ONE exception, so I think I'll get past it.

I KNOW! That's what's so depressing, I have to wait so long..but I'll wait, that I will.
And Lael you can't really expect me to be calm when I'm sugar high, listening to RENT and spazzing out at 11:30 at night can you?!

Thank you again so very much for the update!
It's wonderful to hear all is going so well and you're enjoying it!
Can't wait to see LVB (new should be refreshing, no? ..and everone loves looking for references as well...) and the entire product, not to mention whatever shows its face along the way...
Sounds great and great to hear!
You better get some rest before you miss out on that window of opportunity when you're still tired, and then are wide awake again, unable to fall asleep! (Even if it is earlier on the west coast... if one needs sleep, well, one should get it before too big a debt builds up... if anyone's seen Insomnia heh...)
....And in another response to the topic just before Anthony's post-- I have to say that I got Civilian through a chanukah gift my mom bought through Bway Cares and mustmustmust say I really do like it a lot!
Job very well done there! (and I honestly thought I prolly wouldn't love it , for whatever reason, but I really do...)
I best be off to sleep to! *Gah* (I think I've already missed that lovely window...uh-oh...*)
*Sips tea* Goodnight Everyone!

Thats GREAT!
I was a little worried about her... I did see bits and pieces of her in Josie and the Pussycats (yes, I really am that insane, I made my sister rent/watch it and the computer is in the same room, so I tuned in for the songs and some of the acting just because) But sounds like things are coming along great. I'm also extremely nervous/excited about La Vie Boheme... haha I dunno if I'll be able to keep my sanity while waiting until next year!
I'm not sure if you would know or not, but when are you expecting Jesse Tay and Idina? I know its after they've wrapped up their current projects, but any more specific than that?
Congrats on a job well done with Little Shop! May I just add that the tour when it came to Dallas would be my one and only broadway show that I've seen live, so it will always be near and dear to me
. Anyways I hope you get a breather soon now that you have one less thing on your mind and thanks so much for keeping up in the loop even with your busy schedual/lack of sleep

Here in this cold white room tied up to these machines, it's hard to imagine life as it used to be. Laughing, screaming, tumbling queen... Like the most amazing light show you've ever seen. Whirling, swirling, never blue... How could you go and die? What a selfish thing to do...
RIP Jason

i get to read TWO posts from anthony in a DAY! life is GOOOD.
shall we start a debate about how la vie boheme will be staged, since we know anthony enjoys reading our speculations?
*wonders if la vie boheme will be shot in the REAL life cafe*

I just have a quick question. I am seeing "Little Shop" in Nashville when it comes in January. Have they announced yet who will be playing Seymour?

Lol Beka. What a relief to come here after today. Thanks for the updates Anthony. Sounds like Rent's coming along. Also glad to hear that Rosario is getting more comfortable with singing and everything.
