id sign someone's anything if they wanted me too.
I think the nicest in my experience has got to be Kendra Kassebaum on tour with Wicked when it was in Boston. She was the first "star" out, and it was only my second stage door experience so I didn't want to miss her and ran up, startling both her and her adorable little dog, who all the litle girls were referring to as "Toto". Anyways, I presented the cover of my Grimmery for her to sign, and she took it from me to do so, but flipped it open and suggested having autographs on the cover page instead. I thought that was a very nice thing for her to do, and I appreciated it very much.
Jen Collela was pretty sweet after High Fidelity in Boston, closing night, as well. Signed it with a heart and everything :)
Tom14850 - You met Katherine Hepburn? That's awesome! I would have loved to be able to meet her! What was she like?
SUTTON FOSTER is def the nicest person I met at the SD. I met her before Drowsy and she was just so kind to me. She talked to my parents and I for about five minutes and I got a hugging picture with her and she signed my Drowsy CD. She just seemed so down to earth and guinue. I told her that I saw in Millie and I've loved her ever since and she was like "Aww thank you" and she really acted like she was touched. She's such a sweetheart!
Other nice people I met was:
Beth Leavel at the SD and after Bway in Byrant Park
Bob Martain at the SD and after Bway in Byrant Park
Tammy Blanchard from Gyspy
Heather Tepe from Gyspy (she's such a cutie!)
Mylinda Hull from the Chicago tour

I would have to say Sebastian Arcelus was probably the nicest to me when I met him at the stage door. I was having camera troubles and he was very patient and sweet, and seemed like he was genuinely happy to meet fans. I told him how wonderful he was and he was very modest and discreet about it. He let me get a great pic with him, talk to him for a while and he signed my playbill.
Julia Murney and Kendra Kassebaum were also very sweet when I met them. Wicked is the only stage door I've waited at, but I waited both times I went to see the show.

Well I was backstage with Victoria Clark but she was unbelievable nice, maybe it was because I was with a freind and her family who have been friends for 20 years...but she is genuinly nice.
The Altar Boyz tour cast is great. They kind of hang out by the stage door after the show. They are so much fun to talk to.
Mandi Moo?Did you go to see her in Chicago recently. When I asked her if she would take a picture with me she said"I'd prefer not to, taking pictures make me uncumfortable".
What was that?
Maybe she was tired. Who knows.
I came all the way from NC to see her a s Roxie. That kind of dissapointed me.
Bernadette Peters after "Gypsy"
Hugh Jackman after "Boy from Oz"
"OMFG a customer"
That made me laugh.

Entire cast of Curtains was great a couple of weeks ago..everyone was chatty and answered questions, posed for pictures, etc. The only disappointment was that we were at a Sat. Matinee, so Jill and Karen didn't come out. (Though Jill was also terrific when I saw Woman in White..she was really nice and chatted with my friend and I for several minutes before disappearing into the throngs). Edward Hibbert, Jason Danielly, Debra Monk and David Hyde Pierce were all great..(only to mention the big names, as almost everyone came out to sign).
sutton foster let me take a picture with her and it was THE BEST day of my life.
i am not kidding.

First and foremost, Victor Garber. What a gentleman, seriously.
Ewan McGregor was SO nice and I was nervous about meeting him because he's Scottish and beautiful and he was so nice and was all "Oh sure I saw you in like the second or third row, you and your family looked as though you were having a good time."
Now I may be biased because I'm madly in love with him, but Aaron Lazar is so nice. I first saw him when he understudied in Oklahoma! and I remember I was maybe..I dunno but it was between the 4th and 6th grade and I still remember his performance and it just left an impression on me. So when I met him at The Light in the Piazza stagedoor, and I told him about seeing him in Oklahoma! he got SO excited and (well we know he's a tad bit on the vain side, let's not lie) was all about asking me about Oklahoma. But he's friendly and personable and when I saw him at the Les Mis stagedoor he remembered me and then introduced me to Adam Jacobs and Norm Lewis.
I love him. I do.

I've never really had a bad experience at a stage door. But the nicest people in my eyes have been:
Nathan Lane
Matthew Broderick
David Hyde Pierce
Tim Curry
Martin Short
Harvey Firestein
Angela Lansbury
Ernie Sabella
STEVE KAZEE!
The man is a total doll...
This wasn't after the show, but last Thursday afternoon I was walking down 47th to meet up with a friend and went by the Brooks Atkinson, just walking by. Eve Best and Colm Meaney were just standing outside the door chatting and enjoying the sun. I couldn't talk long, but I told them how much I'd enjoyed and appreciated their performances and they were really gracious and down to earth.
I think I may have to go back and see it again for Eve if no one else. She is incredible.

The whole Rent cast is incredily nice. Tim Howar and Chris J. Hanke are seriously two of the sweetest guys ever and Marcus Paul James is pretty much THE nicest person I've ever met. Nicolette Hart was so nice and was hilarious. Antonique Smith is incredibly sweet, and I'm sure anyone who's met her will tell you that. Frenchie was really sweet to, I heard she was kinda diva-ish, but she's actually really sweet. And I met Haven Burton for about 5 seconds, but she's pretty damn funny.
Also, The Apple Tree cast was great. Brian d'Arcy James was kinda quiet but really sweet. Marc Kudish was hilarious and Kristin was great.
LEA SALONGA, Christian Hoff, Aaron Lazar, Norm Lewis, Adam Jacobs, Michael Longoria.
Lea Salonga, remains to be the best.
Practically everybody in the Les Mis revival cast is wonderful, particularly Norm Lewis, Alex Gemignani, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Aaron Lazar, and Gary Beach.
John Treacy Egan & Bill Nolte were expecially sweet after The Producers on Sunday, especially John Treacy. Hunter Foster was also pleasant, he seemed a little stand-off-ish but I figure he was also upset a little and distracted.
I'm dying to meet Eve Best but I got stuck behind a mob of Kevin fans and missed her! She's so gorgeous though!
^ Yeah...it's kind of insane at the stage door after the show. When I saw it, it was really early in previews and she was visibly awed by all the attention. It was sweet and refreshing to see.
Incidentally, it was about 5:15 when they were outside the door last Thursday. I don't know if that's usual or not, but it was pretty cool.

I hated the Producers, but I love John Treacy Egan. The best was at the BC/EFA flea market when he just came up to my table and started telling me a story.
Jeremy Kushnier
My fave. :)
dancing: Well personally I love The Producers.
But he really is awesome isn't he?? I didn't get a picture with him after the show but he did sign my Program and was just oo kind about everything.
