Kristin Chenoweth.......nicest by far
I went to see Apple Tree and missed her by 5 min. and my sister found a way to tell her that I was really sad that I couldn't meet her, and she aranged for me to go backstage of the Apple Tree......and she was really nice......she really gets personal and talked about what I was doning in theater and she was so nice. Also Brian d'Arcy James was sweet.
But I was wondering how purpleprince101 thought that Ashley Brown was nice.....she is such a b**** she scared a little 3 year old away becuase she was so mean! I

sho was mean? woah
Mike Starr after The Odd Couple last summer. He was so awesome!
Matthew Broderick also after The Odd Couple. He looked a little upset at first, but after about 30 sec. he was chatting and smiling away.
Dana Ivey after Butley. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.
Stephen Weber is also a big sweetheart.

At the final performance of Thoroughly Modern Millie, I got to meet the creative team. I had my Playbill signed by the music and lyric writers, Jeanine Tesori and Dick Scanlan, and had a nice chat with Jeanine and her husband Michael Rafter, who was the music director.
Ashley Brown was VERY sweet to me, and went out of her way to help me with something, totally unnecessary. I don't know why anyone would say she was mean, she's a wonderful girl and a very talented performer.

Maybe to you Kelly2 but she was so mean to me and this little 3 year old. He was so scared of her that he wouldn't even meet Gavin Lee....he said "If Bert is anything like Mary......I don't wanna meet him." And she was complely unfriendly......I have 1 word about her......DIVA!
That's weird. Ashley Brown doesn't strike me as a diva. I always thought she was a really sweet girl.
Anyways, Anneliese van der Pol was a true darling at the stage door when I met her, i was towards the end of the line (i let all the "thats so raven" little kids fans go ahead of me), but by the time she got to me she didnt seem annoyed or tired at all. She was very gracious and we actually talked for a while, and I got a chance to tell her about when I was Belle in my school's BATB. She was such a sweetheart.
when i saw audra mcdonald and barbara cook in philadelphia, they were both ridiculously nice (it was worth the LOOONG COOOOOLD wait). jonathan groff is of course a cutie at the stage door as well
I don't normally wait by the Stage Door however after Aida the cast came out and Adam Pascal was very kind and gracious (I told him how much I enjoyed him in Aida and Rent).
On my second to last trip to NYC, we passed the Tarzan stage door (several times) and Josh Strickland seemed to be genuinely happy to be signing autographs and having his picture taken.
1. The nicest for sure would have to be John Gallagher, Jr. after SPRING AWAKENING.
2. Also notable are definitely Jonathan Groff and for that matter, the rest of the SA cast.
3. John Tartaglia after BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
4. Barrett Foa after AVENUE Q
5. Michael Cerveris after SWEENEY and LOVEMUSIK
6. Norbert Leo Butz after DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
7. Anthony Rapp after SPALDING GRAY
8. Celia Keenan-Bolger after 25TH...SPELLING BEE
9. Patti LuPone after SWEENEY
10. Jennifer Laura Thompson and Shoshana Bean after WICKED

A lot of mentions here for John Gallagher Jr., and I have to say he impressed me a whole lot. Next chance I get...
I'd have to agree with everyone who has mentioned the Spring Awakening Cast. Individually, however....Stephanie J. Block and Cherry Jones are in leagues of thier own.
On the other hand, Joan Collins was the absolute worst.
Deidre Goodwin
Debra Monk
Karen Ziemba
Usually the members of the ensemble or those who have small roles are nice.
Maria Friedman
Hugh Panaro
Michael Ball
Drew Sarich
Stephanie J Block
Hadley Fraser
Daniel Torres
Marcus Chait...pretty much all of the cast of Pirate Queen
Mandy Gonzalez
Julia Murney
Michael Cerveris
...and Michael Crawford was the meanest, I think.
I'd have to say julie Murney was the nicest.. She was so sweet.. Uh, Sebastian, also was very sweet.. Uh Everyone in Legally Blonde was fantastic... Minus Laura Bell Bundy.. She was not very nice.. I must say she was a bit full of herself.. And the cast of Pirate Queen was very nice as well...
"minus Laura Bell Bundy.. She was not very nice.. I must say she was a bit full of herself."
-Laura Bell Bundy was sooo sweet and she is absolutely adorable. Maybe you caught her at a bad time???
-Kristin chenoweth, Derrick Williams, Blake Hammond were all EXTREMELY nice
Kendra Kessabum
Sebastic Arcelus ---Both very nice
Natasha _____ (Can't think of last name) From TCP-Plays Sofia i love her!
Also the disney people are usually nice!
Two nicest have to be Hugh Jackman (unbelievably nice) and Bob Martin. Followed closely by Raul, Christine Ebersole, Kristin, JLT,
cast of LITP, Tim Curry, Audra
Worst: Shoshana, Laura Bell Bundy
The cast of A Chorus Line- especially Michael Beresse and James T. Lane
The cast of Spring Awakening - especially John Gallagher Jr.
Maureen Moore

Eileen Atkins and Ron Eldard were two of the sweetest actors I've ever met. There were only three of us waiting at the stage door, but they each spent a good 15 minutes with us having a deep conversation about the show. Their thoughts were extremely interesting and they were so genuine with us.
And it's been said here several times, but John Gallagher Jr. really is so kind to everyone outside that stagedoor. I hope he goes far in his career because nice people deserve that!
