Aida...probably because I've never seen it, but the from what I've heard from the cast recording, the score sounds the least interesting to me.

Probably Tarzan. It was such a missed opportunity.

I love the Little Mermaid, but the costuming on Broadway was just bad. The Heeleys and the giant tail were really not a great fit.

Mermaid is the most disappointing, but not the worst. Coming off a brilliant animated film, they really screwed it up on stage.
Tarzan is the worst of the bunch.

Luckily in the theatre, there's always room for revivals!

Missed "Little Mermaid" due to the stagehands' strike but saw all the others which (except for "Aida") I enjoyed . "Tarzan" for me was by far the worst of the lot. The opening shipwreck sequence was impressive but that stringy green hanging vine set was a visual nightmare. And IIRC the set never changed.

I never did get to see Tarzan on Broadway, but having seen a few bootleg videos, the set did sometimes change.

THE LION KING. Because it's just so ridiculously boring. At least with MERMAID and TARZAN there was enough just plain awfulness to keep my friends and I laughing for a couple of hours.

You just liked those because it had hot male characters.

The Lion King, loved the opening hated everything that followed.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

I'm going with the majority and saying Tarzan, because honestly, it just stunk.

Sorry to nitpick, but worst and least favorite aren't necessarily the same thing (though for most people in this case it probably is).

You guys are so mean! Tarzan was my favorite. Josh Strickland in a loincloth. Sign me up!
Seriously though I think Tarzan needed an actual director. I usually love Bob Crowley's designs but he needed a director to tell him "no" or to help refine the design and the show needed some tweaks. I think they were hoping for a repeat of the Lion King by hiring a designer/director but it didn't work out as well as it could have. Having said that, the opening sequence was great, "Waiting For This Moment" was breathtaking and "Strangers Like Me" had some imaginative staging as well. It wasn't a total disaster to me.

From the bootleg videos I did see of the Broadway production of Tarzan, I thought some of the staging was pretty ambitious, but other parts of it...you can easily tell it was a first time director!

FULL DISCLOSURE:
I've only seen Mary Poppins on tour (with Caroline Sheen), and it was EXCELLENT...I've always been interested in seeing the Lion King and was interested in seeing the Little Mermaid...but I guess some reviews and thoughts tell me otherwise....
Too late for me on Mermaid though :P

I saw Tarzan in Holland and I thought it was an incredible show.

Then how come the Lion King is so much more successful than any other show? It's grossed more than any show on Broadway! I admit it does get boring but for what it is, I think they did a good job. The Lion King was a huge challenge to adapt into a broadway show and to lost people it turned out a success! Although I do understand and respect your opinion. I personally love the Lion King but I have a friend who said it was boring! I guess it all depends on your experience.

The Lion King. Easily the most boring evening I have ever spent in a theatre.
