They should have been more aggressive with playing people off.
I like your imperturbable perspicacity.

Yeah I'm going to bed, I have to get up at 4:20 AM for work! It's been real. I'm glad I came here for this because I know I won't be able to keep up with you guys during the Tony's!!

Patina wasn't nommed for the DD so that's why she didn't win.

'Let It Sing' is a fantastic song, and damn did he just sing the hell out of it.

WOW Josh- every time he does it I get chills- except when I saw it live haha- he was off and the final riff was unusually forced

I do think GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE will take Best Musical here. But, regardless, I still don't think it's a lock for the Tony.

Waiting for Laura Benanti to make a funny rule about how long acceptance speeches are allowed to be....

How did they do that? Maybe they had inside info or maybe they are just assuming!

YES! The Soprano museum is one of my favorite bits on Laura's CD

Me too! I love her banter on that recording!

They misspelled 'Guide' as 'Gude' on the screen; has that been happening all night?

Happy for GGLAM but so would have loved to see Fun Home win!

I was secretly hoping for a Fun Home shocker...

Am I the only one who didn't like "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder"? It was so boring. Even if it wins the tony I don't think it will last long... but who knows I felt the same about Once.

I can't believe that out of that list of amazing shows, Gents Guide won. Why.

I'm so so happy with all the Gentleman's Guide love - it so deserves it! I hope we get repeat wins next week.
An afterthought - watching that was pretty painful and slightly embarrassing (save for Laura Benanti, of course). Shouldn't an award dedicated to theater actually be produced well? I'm probably asking too much...

That man should be banned from all microphones - he appears to have forced them to pull the plug

I'm baffled that, yet again, the voters have decided to acknowledge ONLY Broadway shows. Only one off-Broadway show won an award in a competitive category, and that's because there were no eligible solo shows on Broadway this season. I would have given Best Play to several of the off-Broadway nominees before All The Way.

I'm bummed that I tuned in too late to see Celia's speech!
