Wel it wasn't really a choice not to open, was it? They couldn't open because one of the cast members was tested positive. Cinderella wasn't the only show that had to cancel dates because of this. It just so happend that one of these dates was opening night.

Yes.... but (a big but) it was also a choice to release an original statement that basically read as a temper tantrum on the level of a 3 year old that was so poorly worded people thought the show as just plain closing all together until a REAL press agent scrambled to fit the mess Sir Andy caused.
All this drama for a month long postponement. What a drama queen he has been. All that needed to be done was say, "We have a positive case in the company. We regret that we much cancel performances for the safety of our cast and crew. This is not a closure but a postponement and we will be back with new dates and a new opening night." Bless his press agent. Whatever they are getting paid, I am sure it's not enough.

But hasn't he been doing this for decades. Didn't he do the same thing when equity said Sarah Brightman could not open Phantom. Didn't he threaten to take "his pail and shovel" (Phantom) and not open in NYC but instead open in Las Vegas? He really is just a spoiled, petulant, self indulgent, entitled toddler.
Can anyone who as seen the show offer any comment on the set design? From everything I've been able to see online it looks a little disappointing. I'm not in need of any helicopters or falling chandeliers, I just didn't expect it to look so cheap (and I'm sure nothing is really cheap anymore).
Also, can anyone confirm that there are only 7 musicians in the orchestra? That's another issue I'm disappointed with.

I would think it would be rational. Of course, two days ago, he was telling people he may have to "sell" the show to an American producer. Whatever that means. Maybe we should wait for the arrival of someone rational before we finalize our thoughts on what's rational.
I love the show so I’m thrilled at these reviews! If anything is gonna introduce Carrie to an American audience it’ll be this. I know when I spoke to her after “Les Mis” in 2019, she said Broadway was her dream so it’s definitely something she’s open to.

On Theatreboard, people say the show won't work on Broadway because audience won't get the humor and Americans are prudes.
The four reviews don't shout Broadway transfer. Let's see what other critics have to say. The Hamilton reviews shouted transfer; these four Cinderella reviews do not. Why does the world need another Cinderella musical?
