Traps doors don’t make a stage high- revolves and tracks for automated scenery do.

So I used my code yesterday for tonight and got Orchestra C2 for $99 per part. Great seats. The stage is a bit high, but the first row does have a little distance. Only thing that stinks is you can't see how the stage is rotating.Maybe because I was so close, but it did seem like the sets could've used some freshening up, I saw from frayed edges and chipped point. Did they come from London? Also, hopefully you don't hear it further back but the rotating sets were really, really loud a couple of times.
The show was great, and as many already know, this play really flies by - doesn't matter if it's a college production or Broadway, it never feels like 4 hours. It ended about 10:50 tonight, I think it started a few minutes after 7. Performances across the board were in great shape.
Of course I didn't look at the Playbill, and didn't realize until after I was on the subway afterward that I was at one of Beth Malone's schedules performances. (They're listed in the Playbill.) I remember saying, she's just so good, I gotta look her up. Iknew she looked familiar, but I didn't know why.
Also kudos to the house staff. I was almost at the corner of Broadway when I got in line, but I was at my seat within a few minutes of the house opening."
My tickets for Part 2 are for Thursday night. We saw Beth last night (Saturday). She is not scheduled for Thursday. Probably an unusual situation? Love her.....but the play is just so strong. Looking forward to Thursday!
Does the Playbill indicate which performances will feature Amanda Lawrence and which ones will feature Beth Malone?

For Part 1, Beth is scheduled for 2/24, 3/2, 3/10, and 3/15.
For Part 2, Beth is scheduled for 3/3, 3/4, 3/10, and 3/16.
Having never seen nor read Angels in America, I'd like to know which part features the Angel more (if there's a difference). I previously thought Beth Malone was the primary Angel, not the alternate. I'm undecided as to whether I should try to see one actress or try to see both (especially if Amanda Lawrence will be Tony eligible).

Part 2 definitely features the Angel more.
As another poster has mentioned, do they let you stand up in the back row? My dad would be going with me but he wouldnt be able to sit for that long with his back pain. Thanks

What code are you talking about?
Row F mezz from TDF for last night, and next thursday.
Still trying to process this incredibly moving production. WOW. It moves, does NOT feel like 3+ hours, it is exciting, and powerful. I really really enjoyed this, thats all I have to say. Besides that Andrew Garfield will likely win the Tony.
A question though, why is their an alternate for the angel/emily? unless part 2 is much more demanding (I have no idea) it seems like a role that does not need a alternate. Maybe equity rule?
Sounds like a scheduling issue. Perhaps Amanda Lawrence has film or tv work.
Sorry for another view question, but I’m bringing my parents to see this in April and wanted to know if the view in the center back orchestra is okay. Since there is an overhang, I’m especially wondering about the scenes with the Angel. Thanks!

Part 2 features the Angel more but the actress who plays the Angel also plays other roles so she is featured heavily in both parts.

Don't worry about the overhang. The view from the rear orchestra is good, and much closer than rear mezzanine. The Angel's flight is created beautifully by a group of puppeteers who lift her and manipulate her huge wings. She's rarely very high above the stage.

Two questions if anyone has the answer.
1. How is the view from about row L extreme house left in the mezz?
2. Do people come to the stage door?
Thanks :)

Honestly I'd be shocked if anyone came to the stage door after this show - seeing as they're doing over 3 hours of heavy material per night.

I’ve seen pictures of Andrew Garfield at the stage door. Nathan Lane never stage doors and I’m sure that won’t change with this show.

Wait, scratch what I said - you're right, there are photos of Andrew Garfield signing at the stage door. That said, the man looks exhausted.
To the question about merch, I don't know about shirts, etc. but they definitely have window cards available.

JUJA1, which I had gotten a few days ago but saw nothing but rear mezz the further out you go. I don't know if I lucked out because it was last-minute, or because of the weird schedule for the first previews, but it helped in this case to wait.

To person asking if you can stand in the back. Yes there is plenty of space.
I don’t believe there is a bad sit in this production since it’s all pretty much front stage.
I had tdf mez row N to the side
However, friend was on row t and said view was fine
Tonite seemed about 95% full house
The 3:50 hour fly by
And Denise G. Has the Tony in the bag.
