I don’t know how high the stage is, but front row is for sure too close for a show this expansive. Some scenes take place simultaneously all across the stage. Definitely sit a little farther back if you are able.

Super excited! Row K in the orch due to TDF and it looks like a great view!
Cannot wait to hear about tonight.
(In particular, how the view from the rear mezz is!)

I sat in the front row for both Cats and the LBJ play and the view was awesome. At least for those two shows the stage was slightly lower than average. If you have no other better options a little further back I would definitely choose the front row. It would be better than being in the back of the orchestra or the back of the Mez, in my opinion.
The back mezz sucks for most shows because you have to stare at the idiots on their phones. Front row is always best if you can do it, mezzanine or orchestra. I am sitting very close to the stage for this show, and I cannot wait.

The stage looks very high so i don’t know if front row would be that great
Are you there right now? Is that how you can tell the stage height?
Having seen the show in London there are a lot of trap doors, not to ruin anything, so I’d think that would make the stage fairly high.

Looking at the Angels Instagram post and story (of tonight’s curtain call), the stage doesn’t seem particularly high.
Im sorry if this has already been asked, but whats the run time?

Was there this evening and it ran 4 hours even.
Thank you.
The first intermission was 30 mins, don’t know what was going on there.

Actually they did utilize a few trap doors and the stage was very high. But the first row is much farther back then it would normally be to help thAt
The show was amazing. All of the actors were wonderful - the Joe/Harper and Prior/Louis simultaneous confrontation scene in Act 2 and the Roy/Joe/Ethel scene in Act 3 were the highlights for me. The play is still relevant and didn't feel it's 4 hour length to me, Act 2 especially flew by. The set was relatively simple and devoid of decoration but still managed to wow in its utility, especially the trap doors. The genuine standing ovation (whole audience on their feet as soon as the lights went out at the end of Act 3) was well deserved, I haven't seen that happen at a show in a long time.
Did anyone sit in the cheap seats in rear mezz? How was the view/experience? Sort of annoyed to see people did rush and got front row, but what can you do.
I suspected it would be amazing with all of the talent behind it. I cannot wait until May to see it! Bravo to everyone involved!

I'm also curious to hear. My dad and I got tickets for the last row because we needed a seat where he could easily stand up during the show (sitting for basically 3-4 hours two nights in a row isn't good for him)
I have tickets for Sat, March 10 and I'm so excited. I saw the London show in theatres and was astounded. I also love Nathan Lane and I'm so excited to finally see him live! I am sitting in the last row of the orch house left. I paid pretty cheap for my tix because I got them presale. I'm hoping this is a good view as I am on the extreme far left of the house

My TDF tickets for tonight are Front Mezz Row G.

Can anyone comment on he view from the Rear Mezz or what partial view is like?
Someone on the other board mentioned that his code got him front row tickets for this weekend, I'm guessing because of last-minute releases. So I used my code yesterday for tonight and got Orchestra C2 for $99 per part. Great seats. The stage is a bit high, but the first row does have a little distance. Only thing that stinks is you can't see how the stage is rotating. Maybe because I was so close, but it did seem like the sets could've used some freshening up, I saw from frayed edges and chipped point. Did they come from London? Also, hopefully you don't hear it further back but the rotating sets were really, really loud a couple of times.
The show was great, and as many already know, this play really flies by - doesn't matter if it's a college production or Broadway, it never feels like 4 hours. It ended about 10:50 tonight, I think it started a few minutes after 7. Performances across the board were in great shape.
Of course I didn't look at the Playbill, and didn't realize until after I was on the subway afterward that I was at one of Beth Malone's schedules performances. (They're listed in the Playbill.) I remember saying, she's just so good, I gotta look her up. I knew she looked familiar, but I didn't know why.
Also kudos to the house staff. I was almost at the corner of Broadway when I got in line, but I was at my seat within a few minutes of the house opening.

Loved Beth. The show was awesome. Lets engrave Denise Gough's Tony Award

I was Row M in the orchestra on the aisle for the first preview via TDF. This production is just unreal. Andrew and James McArdle deserve Tony Awards. Maybe even Denise Gough and Susan Brown too. This cast is just next level good.
