This is such a ridiculous thing to say. People who have autoimmune disorders (and therefore have compromised immune systems) can still run half-marathons and are still at risk for contracting COVID-19.

I called Telecharge Saturday and got a full refund for the 3/12 performance of Company. The credit has already shown up on my AmEx account."
I've called them this entire morning but to no avail. What time on Saturday did you call?"
Ah ok thanks! And I finally heard back from Telecharge. I emailed yesterday and got an email today stating they’re refunding my 4/4 Hangmen and 4/18 American Buffalo tickets. Those two were solo shows but I’m going 3 separate times with friends in April as well so I’m waiting to hear what they want to do before requesting a refund or exchanges for those shows.

I got my refund for Hangmen as well. I plan to go see it later in May or June.

Are you from a state other than NY? I contacted them too for one ticket refund, but I'm in NY, so I'm afraid I might be denied the refund.

I’m from outside of Philly. Telecharge said I was eligible for a refund because I’m “out of the tri state area” but didn’t clarify what exactly that means.

Do we see a world where performances are canceled altogether? I have a family trip to NYC coming up first week of April, with tickets to COMPANY and DOUBTFIRE. I am remaining cautiously optimistic that we can keep these tickets and the shows will go on.

I think we'll need to see ourselves trending towards Italy numbers. Because we're not quite testing as much as we should be, there's no way to know for sure. I think it's possible that some warm weather will curb the spread, but we can't count on it. All we can do is sit tight at this point.

Had an hour-long telephone call with Telecharge and they managed to refund my ticket although my billing address is in CT. Good luck everyone!

The McKittrick is not doing refunds or credits. You would think that theaters with immersive productions would be especially careful and accommodating at this time.

Had tickets for SIX on Wednesday, and LSOH on Thursday. Called Ticketmaster on Saturday, and believe they refunded my ticket today. Called Telecharge today - waited on the phone for 30 minutes, but they refunded as well. Thankful for the refunds. Sad for the circumstances. Praying for everyone.

"Boston and Dublin canceled theirs. We have agreed a lot previously about this stuff but if it's as serious as they are saying in what world does it make sense to have almost 2 million people together? That's a great way to have this spread pretty fast. "
I understand this is serious but like I said if you have any fears then don't stand and watch the parade, freedom is a wonderful thing. Why don't we cancel basketball or hockey games in MSG? There is about 15,000-20,000 people sitting next to each other every night. Might as well cancel every airplane flight, because you are in close range of a bunch of people. My goodness, shut down Disneyworld right now because how many thousands of people are there every day. Once again, my point is that things should go on as scheduled for the most part and let people make their own decision whether to attend.

Although all the people who have to work these events don't get to make their own decision.

Thanks HGR2. I live in Canada, and was planning a trip to NYC end of April/early May (conference). I learned today that due to a variety of issues and new rules, that I needed to cancel my trip on account of Coronavirus. Just called Telecharge and received refunds for: Mrs. Doubtfire, Diana, WSS, and LSOH. Called Ticketmaster, and they won’t ask theatre for my refund for Moulin Rouge until 2 weeks prior to the event. I think I need to go have a few drinks to numb my disappointment—I was SO looking forward to these shows, particularly, second row centre orchestra for Moulin Rouge, and seeing Jeremy Jordan in LSOH. Health is number one, though. It is, what it is.

Major sporting teams and events are already planning to not have anybody in attendance.

Heard from the Hudson Theater regarding Plaza Suite tix. They indicated at this point, no cancellations are planned. If people want to exchange for another performance call (855) 801-5876, their ticket hotline and they will work with you.

I feel for you! There are increasing restrictions and rules, and I ultimately decided to deal with the inevitable—cancel.
Funny you should say you’re going in November, because, I was just on-line looking for a hotel—I am thinking about going to NYC then. SURELY, things will be better by then, and I can start making new, concrete plans. I will plan to see Mrs. Doubtfire, Moulin Rouge, and WSS then, but, I won’t be able to see Jeremy Jordan in LSOH, and I don’t have confidence that Diana will still be around...

Posted: 3/10/20 at 8:45pmTake this with a grain of salt, it’s just speculation, but my grandma has a friend who is a musician. He said the American Federation of Musicians, and that surrounding area, closed down which led him to say it is only a matter if time before broadway is closed

Called Telecharge today trying to reschedule not refund my Company tickets for tonight. I was bringing my 80 year old mother, she caught a cold over the weekend and both myself and her doctor said no way. I bought the tickets at the box office but live near philly so exchanging in person was not doable, Telecharge wouldn’t budge they just said Past Date is my only option which kinda stresses me out. Will I get similar priced $169 seats if at all ? What if Broadway shuts down ? Wouldn’t the theater prefer to exchange so they could sell another pair instead of having 2 empty seats ? I have many questions and concerns if anyone has some insight I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry to say but already have your money, so they don't care about a couple of empty seats. As you can see, they've been pretty cooperative, but that's likely because it's bookings made via their website, so they can control the bar codes and user accounts. Did they offer for you to mail back the tickets? Did you pay cash or use a credit card for the purchase?
Past-dating doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the same value of seat, it really depends on if they're willing to part with whatever inventory is left, for free to let you in.

Well most of the sporting events in Europe have already shut down / empty stadium due to the virus, and my speculation is that it's only a matter of time for NYC to be the same. Of course, you are entitled to make every decision you have, but you are also running the unknown risk of your life and maybe others. Freedom is indeed a powerful thing, but the freedom to ignorance is never recommended.
