Honestly it wouldn't surprise me, but I would assume that a production with a 30 year life span would at least announce a final leg of a run come fall, so see if domestic and bridge and tunnel folks can breath life into the production. This would be akin to Rent's closure announcement goosing business enough for the production to announce a 6 month extension.
Trump's nonsensical travel ban (which exempts countries where he has golf courses) would likely have caused it anyway. I would argue that even Chicago might not survive.

The Minutes: won’t reopen Hangmen: likely won’t reopen Sing Street: pushing opening to Fall 2020 Phantom: might not recover"
the first three of these sadly sound about right. But who's to say? I imagine as the weeks roll on we will hear more and more announcements about individual productions throwing in towels.
And this happens when I've got a tickets to a dozen shows lined up over the next several weeks.
The good news being that this will lessen the blow to NYC health, and I can at least get that money back. Any idea how long before I should expect to start seeing those refunds?
Has anyone discussed what might happen to touring productions? I wanted to see Band’s Visit in Boston and Hartford, but I wonder if tours will be put on pause too...
