I am pretty sure ATG’s service fee is a percentage of the money per ticket - so more expensive ticket = bigger service fee. Ticketmaster is the same way. For what it is worth, my service fees were $14.28 (balcony row B).

Maybe percentage-based fees, instead of flat charges, could be the next ticketing-related issues that legislators could be lobbied to examine. Until then, premium people seeking premium seats will often face premium fees.

With all the talk about prices in the Small Mouth Sounds thread, it reminded me of one the fall's high-priced celebrity shows, this one. When tickets went on sale, the front orchestra was missing for most days, and I wondered if they'd already sold out. No, ATG had been holding a lot back and just released them in the past few days. Rows C-E in the center orchestra is now available on most days. $499. (And ATG's service fees really are exorbitant.) Not as bad as the last weeks of Salesman in comparison, I guess, but still...yeesh.

The price of this show has turned me off from making it a priority to see. If I somehow have an opportunity to see it for a reasonable price, maybe. But this is ridiculous.

Wow, I bought the day they went on sale and got Dress Circle on the center aisle right by the bar and restroom for $135. I guess dynamic pricing kicked in with a gusto.

I got balcony for 99 when they went on sale, Hudson is the best balcony on Broadway

Surprisingly the low Wednesday matinee prices are the same on Veterans' Day - you'd think they would charge weekend prices. Just got a ticket for $89 including fees since I will be off.

I'm find it to be a $10-20 discount on the date I looked at mid-November with that code. Yesterday Rocky Horror put out a code that dropped the seat I bought 50%, knocking $100 off. Now that's a discount.

Then why did they just send out a discount code? I wonder how well it actually is selling with those insane prices. I just looked at a date in December and there are so many tickets available and we don't even know how many they're holding back.

Then when you Google the play & learn it is a drama about rich Republicans it kind of dampens your enthusiasm. I don't think this will be the smash hit people predict. They should have chosen Noises Off or some sh!t like that. Which reminds me I gotta go check this morning what the new dates added are for Heated Rivalry. I want tosee that more."

This can be debunked just by looking - it is WELL sold through November. Availability opens up in December, but people buying tickets in advance has changed, so it selling so well through most of the end of the year is a fear in itself.

Also, I tried the discount code - it works for three dates in January.

It's true we don't what's being held back. That being said, if it wasn't selling, would they keep increasing prices? Seats that started out at 130 are now 220 at certain performances. I admit, them putting out a code is puzzling.
