If they do "Henry Street" that is a terrible idea. If you wanna include everyone, lump them into the background of DROMP. Let her sing the song at the literal parade!! The opportunity is right there!

I agree Henry Street is awful. DROMP makes the most sense for all sorts of reasons, including parade being in the title. Rosie and the two Missus' and Emma can be telling her not to go and Nicky can show up at the end. The drama never ends with this show. LOL!

Lea posted this IG story. I think the cast album announcement is coming soon...
Stay tuned for a new cast album thread once we finally have a date!
Odd choice of photo as that’s 20 year old Streisand during her recording session for I CAN GET IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE and not FUNNY GIRL.
THIS is 22 year old Streisand (with Sydney Chaplin) recording the cast album of FUNNY GIRL:

A couple of bonus tracks should be added to include Beanie since she originated the role in the revival.

LOL.
And she practically drove the show into the ground, too. And why would she want concrete evidence how weak her vocals were in direct comparison?
It would be awesome for two or three bonus tracks with Julie B.

This is fine. I think Julie recorded something. But I doubt Beanie would record even if she was asked... she's 100% just wanting to forget the whole thing.

I can’t imagine that happening. The only reason to record it will be LM. What incentive would there be to invite comparison.
Beanie got engaged over the summer, and she's starring in Ethan Coen's new movie, which is filming now. She's moved on with her life, as most people in Hollywood do after a failed project.
Tickets are now on sale through May 28, 2023.

I was thinking the same. I'm now used to the idea of a cast recording with Lea, and don't think Beanie needs to come back. She has moved on. Let her. It was enough with the bad reviews and everything. She doesn't need that to come back if she's on the recording in any way.
Due to a back injury, Lea will not be performing tonight.
She intends to be back in Funny Girl tomorrow.

She posted another one today, prior to announcing her back injury, a different picture of Barbra in the studio. Seems like they're announcing the cast album soon. Wonder if they'll announce Lea's alleged extension and the cast album at the same time. I hope it's pressed to vinyl!

LOL, seriously? I think Beanie wants to forget about this career embarrassment! Nobody wants to hear her voice on a FG cast album.
Just wish they could redo this whole thing with Michele. Different set, direction, etc.

The other day I saw this tweet from a theatre critic from the UK who basically raved about Lea's performance, but lamented that it was wasted in such an underwhelming production. I'm sure she's over the moon that all the stars aligned where she could get the opportunity to finally be Fanny on Broadway, but what a shame for her and the rest of the cast that everything else around them is so chintzy (for me it's the blah costumes). Still can't wait to see it, though!

NY Theatre Guide review. 5 stars.
"Lea Michele in Funny Girl on Broadway is the theatre event of the season. It’s live theatre at its finest. "
