Same. The Met Gala was a mix of live and pre-recorded segments and it seemed to be a smart move. 4 hours with little to no issues besides a few people talking over each other because of lag.
Is it back up? Can someone post a link? I just keep getting back to the same 6 minute failed start video.
The Met Gala was 90% live. They obviously have their act together.
who's in charge... will be fired - Raul is only the host
Yup same here. Give it 15 more minutes then call it.

I also only get the same 6 minutes
There's a lot of humor to be mined from this livestream!
Raul E's silent monologue reminded me of the scene in the movie "Amadeus" where the king wants the music for ballet cut, so they do exactly that; they cut the music, but the ballet goes forward w/o music.
The continuation of filming Raul E's silent monologue after he knew there was no sound was priceless. Looked like something Jerry Lewis might perform in one of his comedy mime bits...
Is it actually live? I assumed Raul’s segments would be but everybody else would be pre-recorded...?
The stream is back up! And down after two minutes
Updated On: 4/26/20 at 08:51 PMAt what point do they just pack it in and try again tomorrow?

It’s astonishing how many of y’all are being dicks about this. Tech issues happen. It’s live. Does anyone have somewhere else to be tonight?

Yup. Really just the chorus and orchestral pieces were not. And Anna and her husband of course.
I love this "someone will be fired" & "where's the tech" stuff. It's literally Paul Wintorek in his bedroom guys...
Well this is going well

I definitely would have preferred a prerecorded compilation. I’m alone watching this. Laughing aloud by what is going on.
Now the link only shows the 6 insane minutes we had. Are they going to push a new one out?
They started a second stream and it only lasted two minutes before having to shut it down again. Third time is a charm, right?

Poor Steve...he has no patience for stuff like this

Who could tell what was being posted? Those posts were scrolling faster than the end credits of an "edited for television" movie on WGN...

I feel so sorry for everyone involved. Patti postponed screenshots showing everyone was zooming together earlier today.
Personally, i don’t care. But, they had time to plan for this. For theater, this is a big deal and you can tell as much by those who volunteered their time to participate.
This is amateur hour and a waste of time for many well respected professionals. This could have been managed better.

Is anyone else now seeing a video scheduled to go live at 9:57pm???
I’m currently imagining dozens of the greatest stage performances of our time just sitting at their computers staring at an error message.
Was anybody kicked off the stream? It says the “user has removed the video”
The video feed was taken down from the broadway.com website
