THANK YOU! I was trying to think of the batty mayor lady’s name.
At this point, thrown in Mark Indelicato for Husband’s Assistant and we’ve got a full HACKS house 😂

Great timing to announce her now. Maya's making the show bank right now, they need to focus on the summer, and with Hack wrapping up its run, there's interest in that cast now for what's next.

Meg Stalter? Perfect casting. She is the Prettiest Girl in America (album this summer).
No, like, I see it. I see this working in new and wonderful ways. Good on her.

The possibilities here really do seem endless and so many top tier comedians are game to do it. There has to be a run in the works for Molly Shannon, Megan McCarthy and Amy Sedaris at the very least, right?!
Let us all pray that we never get a Lena Dunham is Mary Todd Lincoln because that will surely signal the end of times.

Sedaris has said she’s (sadly) not doing it.

I wish she did. Even if she did a short stint and maybe not doing all 8 shows a week.

Nah, Taye Diggs doing the show would signal it's closure.

Some folks on the Twitter seem to be confusing Meg Stalter for Trisha Paytas - which, good god, I hope I never see Trisha Paytas anywhere near theatre again. It was bad enough she was already a guest on the last season of HACKS

Trisha Paytas and Jefferson Mays on the same episode, Hacks contains multitudes

I’d buy a ticket immediately if Lena Dunham was cast.

I'd love to see Rachel Bloom take on the role. I think she'd be perfect

Although I’m not sure she would command a large audience (her work is more niche than mainstream), she would absolutely EAT this role. I’m honestly a little shocked by the fact that she hasn’t been on Broadway yet in any capacity.

I would love to see Ilana Glazer

Hi there :)
Sorry this is a question about seating. As a first time viewer of the Show, would you rather sit very side Orchestra (Row F - H f.e.) or in the balcony (Row E)?
And which side would you prefer? Is one side more obstructed than the other?
Also, how soon should you be in line for rushtickets? Do we know how many they have per show?
Sorry for all these question that were probably asked and answered somewhere on this board already 🙈 Thank you for your help :)

Far side orchestra F-H isn’t bad at all. You may miss an entrance or exit, but they’re not prolonged, and you’ll be close enough to see facial expressions. I’ve sat as far back as the last row of the balcony, and still had a great time. But maybe not for my first viewing.
The only sections I would actively avoid are rear mezzanine and front or center balcony. The overhang and railing cutoffs, respectively, are rough.

Alright, but now I want to see Jefferson as Mary

There's barely any visible balcony overhang in the rear mezzanine at the Lyceum.

You’re totally right. I don’t know which theater I was thinking about, but it’s not the Lyceum.

Wow Maya was fantastic. I’ve seen all the Mary’s but Betty and I think Maya may be my favorite. She improvised more than any of the others I’ve seen and really did something different in the role than anyone else I’ve seen.

I apologize if this was covered earlier, but is there any hint or rumor who the tour Mary will be?

To those who have seen all Marys, how do you rank them? Just curious. Thanks.

I am not sure I could rank them. I feel like recency bias is a real thing for me. I thought all of them were great and brought something unique in the role. I always compare them to Cole as a baseline. I think Maya and Jinkx were probably my favorites with Tituss and John Cameron Mitchell probably right behind them
